She does not carry them on a regular basis, and does not fight with them on a regular basis either. Appearance: Anei dresses simply. She wears black, fitted pants and a white, sleeveless top that has black cuffs. Over that, Anei wears what looks like a specialized kimono- the front latches at her throat, and it falls open to her waist. The back of the top falls beyond her knees. Anei wears thick, black metal cuffs on both hands, and wears white gloves when she is not around people who are close to her, as her hands have still slightly visible scars from the time when she was sick with the �plague�. Background: Born to Sierra�s father and another mother, Anei wasn�t taken away from her father and brother so much as separated at an early age. While still living in Midgar, Anei was raised in a separate household with her own mother and was allowed to visit her father and half-brother on occasions. Quiet and introverted, Anei adored her older half-brother and often would follow him around. As she grew up, Anei�s mother trained her in the ways of materia. A devoted student, Anei voraciously studied all she was taught until she was mastering materia such as Heal and Restore. Around the age of fourteen, Anei and her mother went to visit Anei�s father at a reactor. Unfortunately, during an experiment, something went wrong- and the reactor exploded. Anei, who had been on the outskirts of the reactor�s facilities at the time of explosion, survived with minor injuries. However, Anei and Sierra�s father was killed, and Anei�s mother developed serious mako poisoning from the incident. During her mother�s six-month battle with her sickness, Anei never left her side and sought all the medical help she could afford. When no doctors or medicines worked, she started to research other types of materia that might help her mother get better. Shortly thereafter, Anei�s mother passed away and Anei sought out Sierra, who took her in. When Sierra began working with Hojo on his projects, Anei supported his ideas and devoted herself to his sucess. And when Sierra began to develop his own ideas about mako and its use, it was a joint-decision on both Sierra�s and Anei�s part for her to be his first experimental subject. As a result, after Anei�s battle with the resulting �plague,� she developed into what Sierra later termed an �Esper.� As a result of her previous interactions with materia, Anei developed into a healer and also developed powers over shadows and darkness. In her devotion to serve Sierra, she honed these abilities- constantly seeking out new forms of training after mastering others. With this talent, Tsuki Anei can open portals within any true shadows, allowing her to travel through a shadow realm and cross great distances in a matter of seconds. With her resulting powers as an Esper, Anei has taken up the identity of �Shadow� to better serve her half-brother, and will go into battle for him without a second thought. Although initially distraught over the idea of killing because of her initial training in healing with materia, Anei realized it was a necessity for Sierra�s plans to succeed, but now limits any killing she does to the minimal amount. However, if Sierra is in danger, Anei will throw personal code of conduct to wind and is prepared to slaughter thousands if the need were to arise. Limit Skills: I: Glowing Moon: Anei draws upon the energy of the heavens to cast a healing light on her allies. II Lunar Memory: A purely defensive ability. Anei draws upon her empathic abilities to cloak herself in illusion. For a limited time she will appear to be a loved one, living or dead, of her attackers appearing as a different person to each enemy. III Binding Darkness: Shadow draws upon the substance of the shadow realm, shaping it to serve her will, effectively immobilizing her enemies until she, or Sierra, releases them.
