Background: Reno Marrin was born the only child of Ronda Marrin and Tanke Marrin. While his mother carried his Father�s last name and they called each other Husband and Wife, they weren�t truly married legally and thus Reno was born a bastard. At the age of 4 years, his mother grew tired with the hardship of raising a child and trying to make a decent living on the plate of Sector One. So one day, not long after he turned 4, she came in to find him sleeping and picked him up and took the train to Sector Two slums. There after walking and finding an alley she set him down and turned and walked away without looking back once even though he carried out for her and tried to follow her. When she disappeared from sight he became frightened and retreated back to the alley to hide. An older boy who had lived on the streets of the slums his whole life found him and he took Reno under his wing and taught him how to survive on the harsh streets of sector two slums. He also taught him where it was safe to beg for food and where not too. The other boy was finally caught and killed in a fight on the streets while protecting Reno and this left him on his own. He lived on his own until he was 10 and he was finally cornered and caught by a gang of thugs, and might have died as an unknown casualty of the streets, but for the interference of a young man, who looked like he was in his teens, though Reno found out later he was only 13 at the time. After the boy finished with the gang, he took Reno back to the place that Reno called home and introduced himself as Tseng. Tseng cleaned the blood off Reno�s face and bandaged the twin slices just below his eyes as best as he could with the limited supplies he had to work with. Over a course of three years Tseng taught Reno how to defend himself without a weapon and also what the older boy had learned from a man he called �sensei�. When Reno was 13, Tseng 16. A man calling himself Tyler discovered them; he introduced himself as the Head of an administrative department, called the Turks. He told them both that he thought they had what it took to be one of these Turks. He took them both to the ShinRa Building and a man called Tazien tested both to see if they were worthy of the honor of wearing the suit and the title of being a Turk. After the test he nodded and said they were and they were both hired then and began their training. The first paycheck Tseng had he brought Reno the parts he needed to make the weapon he would later use and be known for, his Nightstick, so named because the metal casing was a dark and smoky gray color. When combined with materia it was a weapon that was almost unbeatable. Reno also showed great aptitude for firearms as well, and most often was given a sniper�s role in the missions. Best at divorcing himself from his emotions when on a mission, only Tseng was better than he was at being a Turk. When Tseng became Leader of the Turks, Reno praised him and worked even harder for his best friend along side the tall bald man they all knew as �Rude�. Later he was given a mission to locate an ancient by the name of Aeris Gainsborough. He found her easily enough inside an old ruined church. His efforts though at catching her were halted when a younger man attacked him and his men. He came back and told both ShinRa and Tseng what had happened and was then ordered to wait as the President was thinking of another mission for him, which later turned out to be the destruction of the Pillar of Sector Seven. He did it and fought three people calling themselves AVALANCHE. One was the same young man from the church before, then the other two a black man with a gun arm and a woman with long black hair. They fought until the helicopter came around and he left inside it to go to the infirmary to recover from the fight. He was later ordered to stall AVALANCHE while Tseng and Scarlet checked out a nearby Reactor, so the group he had fought at the pillar was fought again by Rude and him. Leaving once again when their work had been done. They later were given a couple days off and so went down to an island called Wutai, and to a pub called Turtle�s paradise. There the group minus the black man showed up again. He paid them no mind though and told Elena, a new Turk who had been brought in while he had been out of commission, to pay no heed to them either. Later, when a couple of SOLDIERS came in and began rambling on about the man who had blurted the plans for the destruction of the pillar to AVALANCHE, Don Corneo. They said they wanted the Turks help in catching him while he was in Wutai. Reno declined, as did Rude. But Elena left after them after giving both Reno and Rude a small piece of her mind. After they finished their drinks and went looking for her, they found that the SOLDIERS had messed up once again and the Don had kidnapped Elena. For a brief while they agreed to make a temporary truce with AVALANCHE and find both their missing member and Elena. They found the two women tied to the face of the mountain face with the Don teasing them and sneering at AVALANCHE. After taking care of the Don, which meant basically killing him by knocking him off the face of the mountain and letting him fall to his death; they then untied Elena and ignored the call from Scarlet telling them to find and capture AVALANCHE. They then went to the Temple to find that it was no longer there and that AVALANCHE had been here before them, and thus Elena jumped to the conclusion that AVALANCHE had killed Tseng and then destroyed the Temple. So they when they met them inside the tunnels of Midgar they were ready to fight, but in Rude and Reno�s case they really didn�t care anymore�since they found out their President was dead and with him all of ShinRa Inc. So when Cloud decided not to fight they agreed, left the trio alone and left Midgar for good. They then made their way to Junon and stayed there taking on odd jobs and very few times holding down normal regular jobs which often ended up failing and with them leaving to once again begin taking odd mercenary jobs in which their skills as Turks could be put to work. Limit Skills: I: NEO Turk Light: Reno uses his Nightstick to send a massive electrical fireball at his opponent. This attack may also cause confusion, providing it doesn't kill them. II: Backdraft: A move that fools the enemy into thinking that its won the battle and when it (the enemy(s)) come in for the kill a cyclone of fire suddenly comes into being and sweeps all enemies off the field. III: Eye of the Storm: A fury of fire-laced clouds and lighting begin to gather over the field. After a minute or two of this the fire collects in the center or 'eye' of this 'storm' and toasts anything under it. IV: Squall: This attack gathers anything loose that lying around...debris, leaves, sand, dirt, grass, cloth, etc. The stuff ignites and becomes the basic foundation of the 'Squall'. Electrified fire is then added and power is fed to it and it grows. Anything in its path after it is loosed is burnt to a crisp. It dies down after the stuff it picked up is gone and the enemy it was set after to begin with is either dead or near-death. White Squall (Squall over water): A "real" Squall is brought into being and after the power of the limit break is fed to it. It becomes a "White Squall" and reacts like a normal act of nature except for its tripled fury of beating anything it comes into contact with into little bitsy pieces. Anything actually in the water when the limit break first comes into being, (the first minute) is electrocuted with lethal force. | |
