Weapon: Faustus is trained to fight with many different weapons, but he can most commonly be seen with either a less-than-average wakizashi (short sword) or a metal pole; as a backup weapon, Faustus carries coiled metal barbed wire, usually looped and attached to his waistband. Ultimate Weapon: Faustus has no ultimate weapon, but is most dangerous with a katana (compared to other weapons)- however, due to its length, he rarely ever fights with one. Armor: Fire Armlet Accessories: Tough Ring, Earrings Materia: Appearance: Faustus appears on the lanky side, but in actuality he spends hours working out to be in top physical condition. He has shaggy auburn hair and two mismatching eyes (brown being the natural color, the blue a robotic implant due to an incident during the sickness), with multiple piercing in both ears and has a tattoo scrawled across his upper back and lower neck, consisting of ancient designs and runes. Also, Faustus has scars from multiple burnings stretching across his torso and lower chest from the time when he was sick. His typical clothing consists of loose-fitting, low-cut dark brown pants and either basic t-shirts, wifebeaters, or button-ups with collars and cuffs. Faustus also typically wears boots. However, when on a mission, the head of the Saints wears a skin-tight white cloth top and matching (although slightly looser fitting) white pants with dark brown, steel-toed boots. No matter what he's wearing, however, Faustus can typically be seen with a cigarette either behind one ear or said cigarette being smoked (unless he is inside the compound). Background: Faustus was born to the lower class (at the time) in Midgar, living under the plate. His life was unextrodinary- he was reared by his mother, a hooker, as best as she could manage. Faustus attended school, and often ended up with detention or worse for the many fights he picked. By high school, he had picked up some training and spent most of his time doing such, and was earning money in pit fights. When his mother died, Faustus was 19 and quickly got a job as a bouncer at a strip club. He continued to pick up extra cash in pit fights and train until Meteor. Injured in the collapse of Midgar, Faustus could not fight off the materia-induced disease as it spread through the ranks of the injured and sick. He was running unusually high fevers, even for those infected, and was picked up by Sierra's men shortly after his first "human combustion" act. His battle with the plague was strenuous, but eventually Faustus overcame the disease and developed abilities over fire. It was during one of his many "combustions" that his one eye burned during the human-fire and was lost. Sierra, however, had a robotic component made and installed inside Faustus' eye socket to act as a second, better eye. Limit Skills: I: Molten Lava: Faustus heats up the ground around his enemies legs, raising the temperature until the ground is well-past molten and swells. When Faustus ceases heating it, the ground immediately cools, burning and settling around the enemies' legs, securing them in place so they cannot dodge attacks for a certain amount of time. II: Burning Metal: Faustus wraps his enemies in his barbed metal string, and heats the metal molecules well beyond the boiling point. It does, however, render that length of metal useless after the attack. III: Burning Sword: Much like the previous skill Burning Metal, Faustus will either sink his sword into his opponent's flesh then heat the metal beyond boiling, or raise the temperature of the sword enough for it to easily slice through flesh (think of a hot scalpel). Said sword is also rendered useless after this attack. IV: Human Torch: Faustus can light his opponents on fire, burning their flesh from their bones. | |
