Reptiles...
The AmazonForest has an extremely rich assortment of reptiles; more species of which live in the Amazon Rainforest than in
the entire United States. Though the rainforest has an abundant diversity of reptiles, they are widely dispersed and rarely seen.
Many of these species are endangered, such as the Black Caiman, which has been hunted to near
extinction for it's skin. The Amazon Rainforest also harbors the world's largest snake, the Anaconda, and the world's largest
freshwater turtle. Though, do to hunting and the continuing destruction of habitat, many of these reptiles under seige are faced
with possible extinction.
