This was the second investigation of this residence. I modified the IR to Sound detector to be more easily handled and to boost the output. We also brought a digital thermometer, an EMF detector, a 35 mm camera a handheld recorder, and a digital camera. The 35mm camera turned out to have dead batteries.

The IR to Sound detector did not pickup as much as our first visit but, it did pickup some strange variations. The overall background of the basement is different in pitch and sound content from the rest of the house.

There is a room we’ve taken to calling the "moon" room. This room registered a lower pitch and a different sound quality than the rest of the basement.

The IR detector was used with the lights on and with the lights off. When the lights were off I heard a very unusual static filled background.

I would guess this is from some kind of faint energy. In three places I detected objects that differed from the background, one appeared to be moving; the others were fixed in position. All the objects eventually faded into the background readings. The EMF measurements on 1 axis were around .25mG, with the lights off. The "moon" room had one section were the readings would fluctuate between .25mG and 1mG, these readings were without moving the sensor! All the wiring and surround metal was tested to see if they were the EMF source, they weren’t! During these EMF readings pictures were taken. One of the pictures shows an orb in the frame.

I didn’t have the thermometer, but the "moon" room was noticeable colder than the rest of the basement. On a personal note this room makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up straight. The "moon" room is a half-circle room that is the base of a tower. The tower itself pre-dates the rest of the home by an unknown amount of years.

I recorded the entire investigation, this yielded nothing unusual.

The old servants quarters was our next area we entered. As we went up I noticed a strange feeling on the stairs between the second and the third floor. I would describe it as walking through a barely perceivable wall. I began IR readings, I heard no background, only a few clicks. Everywhere I tested my IR detector previous to this had a background. So, this is very strange, I have no explanation. The EMF readings with the lights off were just about 0mG. We took a few pictures, they showed nothing unusual. I heard nothing unusual on the recording. When we left the third floor I re-tested my IR detector and it worked just fine. There is still one room on the third floor I’d like to look at, the top of the tower. This room partially burned off in a fire many years and owners ago. We were asked no to go into this room.

Synopsis:

We had many strange reading in the "moon" room from multiple devices. We also have a picture with an orb from this room. If the owners will permit it we will investigate again.
