Sharon Kelly used to work for a big-time corporation, until it got burned down by a member of the criminal syndicate.  Apprently, the corporation was using it's business to deliver drugs into Syndicate areas.  After that came out, everyone in the company was interrogated for the crime.  Sharon avoided the police, but ended up in the hands of the Syndicate.  They nearly killed her, but just as a thug pulled the trigger, a sphere of energy covered her, and the bullet didn't do any damage.  The thug, afraid, ran.  Sharon didn't know what to think, so she went home.  The police found her a few months later, and by now she realized that she was a mutant.  She had also learned how to use her power rather well.  She attacked the police, and is now hunted by the Criminal Syndicate and the Government.  The Syndicate because she was part of the corporation, the government because she is a mutant that attacked the police.
