| Brown Wolf Poison The Brown Wolf is a hybrid spider (a Brown Recluse and a Spotted African Wolf mix) with the (supposedly) most deadly spider poison in the world. Now, based on some books I read, the person infected will start to find it hard to concentrate, and before too long will start to see horrible sights. Without treatment, the person will die. However, if the poison is treated, the patients will usually recover very quickly. It is effective for combat situations and will effect people even out of combat. Remember, variants of the poison are possible. If a GM wanted to be really harsh, he/she could make it have less potent Drains, but last a lot longer. The player may need to make a new character until the old one is treated...if he/she is treated in time (revenge is sweet, isn't it?). The drain to Intelligence shows that the person has trouble thinking, the Ego drain shows the person's psyche itself is being harmed, Body drain shows the actual lethal effects (someone being "scared to death"), and the Mental Illusion is to reflect that when a person's psyche is basically shattered (at 0), the person starts seeing images. They can't do damage, but they are very frightening. Note: Having the psych lim "Fearless" doesn't make the character immune to the poison's effect. A demon or robot, a cyborg perhaps, these are immune. Wolverine (from X-Men) would be immune to it becuase of his healing powers. Weather a character is effected or not is up to the GM. The activation roll simulates that the poison is not always as effective as one would like it to be. On a final note, even if one drain doesn't do damage, all the effects are turned on. Example: A mentalist is hit by Brown Wolf's sword (which has this poison on it). The mentalist's Ego is not effected at all (so he won't take damage from the Ego Drain, and the Mental Illusion won't take place), but the Intelligence and Body Drains effect him. Sometimes, this can make the poison all the deadlier. If someone doesn't even realize that he isn't dying, he/she may pass it off as feeling under the weather, that is, until the character has trouble focusing or forming sentences (because of the Intelligence Drain). |
