They have been bred in an increasing range of colours but their appearance has changed a lot since their earlier days.
The persians Face is very flat these days. They also have short noses, which give them an extreme looking face, but some breeders still have the longer nosed persians pop up in litters now and again, long nosed persians are know as doll face persians.
Persians also have small ears, broad- chestes, sturdy but short legs, large round paws, a soft but very thick furry coat~ with a ruff around their necks, and a short low slung tail.
Persians are one of the largest know pedigreed cars, it is now be- leaved that the persian is the first breed of cat to be registered and shown.
Today their are over 60 different colour variations of persians, including the Colour point (Himalayan) Varieties.
