Poor Drake! Not! Well, he’s screwed. Maybe Ash will kill somebody after all…

Disclaimer: Pokemon is not mine. Destiny is. New pokemon are mine also. If you haven’t seen it on T.V. or in the manga/game boy games, then it’s mine!

Example: Blizzardeon and Stormeon are mine as well. So are the attacks ‘Match-thunder’, ‘Avalanche’, and ‘Raging Thunder’, and ‘Hydro Flare’.

Notes: Pairings: Sabrina x Ash

Note: Oh my god! I don’t read my own fanfic! That’s what happens when you rest on a fanfic too long. I mentioned that Ash lost his title, but then I mentioned that he still had it two chapters later. So how about if I just say that Ash hypnotized the Elite Four and everyone else to reverse time so he still had the title? Okay?

Chapter 8

Drake could only gasp like a startled goldfish. “What are you talking about?”

“Your father was named Thomas Alexandros, wasn’t he?” Ash asked.

“Yeah, so what?” Drake asked defensively.

“You’re my older half-brother. 3 years older than me. It was because of you that your father met my mother, and the reason why he didn’t accept me at my birth. He tried to kill me.” Ash said.

“WHAT?!” Drake demanded. “You’re crazy! Even if you are my younger brother, who’s your mother?”

Ash closed his eyes. “Well… my mother is the legendary pokémon, Change.” He said proudly. “When she was reborn on earth, you ran into her while she was taking a walk in Cerulean City. Then, your father came to find you… and fell in love with her. She didn’t really love him back that much, but she agreed to marry him. But he neglected to tell her about you until she was pregnant. I can honestly say that Change wasn’t too thrilled, but she accepted the fact. Then… when I was born, you were there too, hiding in the waiting room. Your father went out to talk to you, and you said that you didn’t want a younger sibling… plus I was a legendary after all, so he tried to kill me.”

Drake backed up as Ash’s eyes flashed gold. “Well, what does this have to do with me?”

“You’re going to pay for what you did.” Ash replied, as black light swirled around him and the wings enveloped his form before he transformed back.

Drake began backing up. He reached for the poke balls containing his three pokemon, Raichu, Lickitung, and Mereep. “You’re a pokemon!”

“Didn’t I just say so?” Ash asked, as he spread his wings and prepared to attack.

“Well, if you’re a pokemon, then I can capture you!” Drake said, as he threw out his poke balls. “Raichu, use Thunder! Mereep, use Thundershock! Lickitung, use Wrap!”

Ash spun out the way, lifting him into the air. He shrugged and tossed out his own pokemon. “Umbreon, use Psychic! Blizzardeon, use Ice Beam! Elementeon, use Rainbow Beam!” The three attacks plowed into the opposing pokemon.

“Oh no!” Drake said. His pokemon toppled over and began falling over like dolls.

“And to finish you off…” Ash smirked as he pointed both hands at Drake. Black energy gathered in his hands, swirling around him. “Nightmare!” Drake screamed as the black mist enveloped him, and slowly faded away.

Umbreon, Blizzardeon, and Elementeon trotted back to his side. Ash petted them all and conjured up some apple-flavored poke treats. The three pokemon happily took them and began munching.

Ash detransformed, and put his possessions back into their proper place. “I still can’t believe that my mother married that stupid sprite. Oh well, at least that should have taken care of the problem. I love Nightmare, it eliminates all traces of the person, no need to fool around with the timeline or anything like that.”

< Well, I guess you’re happy now. > Umbreon said.

            “Maybe…” Ash mused. “But I do wish I had a real friend…”

< We’re your friends! > Elementeon said defensively.

“I know that. But it seems like there’s something missing.”

< The chosen one should not stand alone, you know. > Blizzardeon said, trotting over to his side. < There’s a reason why all the legendaries pair up. Two together are more powerful, than one alone. >

“Yes… maybe that’s it.” Ash said. He sighed. Ever since he had won the championship, he had been sent hundreds of love letters, until he had changed his address so nobody could get mail to him. But he certainly did not want to devote his life to someone who barely knew him!

< Well, let’s see. > Umbreon said, pulling out a list. < Hmm… Misty is out of the question, Erika is too different for you two to get along together, Sabrina is a psychic, but… she’s kind of insane. Whitney is too young and throws temper tantrums if she loses, Jasmine is Koga’s daughter, so she might work, and Bugsy might work too… >

“Please don’t matchmake for me.” Ash said.

Umbreon got all teary-eyed. Ash sighed. “I’ll find the person I’m meant to be with in my own good time, don’t worry!”

< Okay! > Umbreon said, as he skipped off.

Needless to say, even though he didn’t want to think about it, Ash finally agreed to go on a date. With Erika!

Ash fiddled nervously with his suit. Why was the thing so tight? It was really annoying! He had already brushed his white hair until it was smooth, put together every maddening piece of his ensemble, and polished his boots. So why was he still so anxious?

< You forgot something. > Espeon said in his head.

“What? I thought I had everything.” Ash replied.

< Flowers! Candy! You know, girls like presents? >

“Oh great.” Ash was about to dash up, when the door opened and Erika peeked out. “Oh! You’re here already!”

            “Hi, Erika.” Ash said.

“Just a second! I still need to touch up my makeup. I’ll be done in a few minutes!” Erika promised.

And with that, she closed the door in his face.

Ash blinked. Then, he shrugged. “Oh well. I’ll go get her present now.” He zipped off and returned in five seconds, carrying a bouquet of pink roses and a jar of jellybeans.

< How interesting. > Espeon said. < I didn’t think you would do that. >

“Well, it is tradition, right? Guy always has to bring girl a present. I think it originated from a long time ago, when a man had to prove he was a hunter and bring his future wife meat to show that he was able to provide for his family.”

< Pokemon do that too! > Espeon said. < The male always has to bring his potential mate something. If it’s a Pidgeot, than he has to build a really strong nest. If it’s a Growlithe or other canine pokemon, they bring Rattatas and rabbits and stuff like that. I guess you’re right. >

Ash petted Espeon on the head. “Well, I guess you know best.”

            Espeon purred.

Fifteen minutes later, Erika finally came out. Ash couldn’t see any visible makeup, but that was probably because it was done very stylistically. Erika’s short hair was held back with a dark, forest green headband instead of the usual red one, and she had made an honest effort to dress up. A dark, forest green confection with puffed sleeves and a flared skirt had replaced her regular attire.

< Looking good! > Umbreon said, peeking out from the top of his poke ball.

< Hentai! > Flareon said from a few poke balls down.

“You look very nice, Erika.” Ash said, ignoring the bickering pokemon. He handed her the candy and flowers.

“Wow! Thanks, Ashura.” Erika said as she accepted them. “So, where’s our reservation?”

“The Vileplume hotel.” Ash said calmly, referring to an elite restaurant/hotel located near Indigo Plateau.

Erika’s jaw dropped. “How can you afford, I mean, er, how will we get there?”

“Flying.” Ash said simply. “Pidgeot, I choose you! Ladies first.” He told Erika, indicating that she should mount. Erika did so, with little difficulty. Ash sat behind her and whistled. Pidgeot instantaneously took off.

< Pidgeot dear, this time, could you not do any wild flying? I don’t want Erika to fall off. >

Pidgeot scowled, but accepted his reasoning. After all, she didn’t want her master being filed for murder charges. That would be hectic and totally useless.

            <Fine. >

The ride was quite smooth. On the way there, Erika and Ash chatted about league policies, pokemon, perfumes, and a variety of other topics. Erika found him to be an interesting, if controversial, conversationalist. Ash realized that Erika wasn’t as bubbly-headed as he had once assumed.

All in all, they both felt better about the date when they arrived at the hotel.

Erika and Ash sat down at a table and began perusing the menu. * He’s not too bad he’s actually pretty nice. I thought he would be stuck-up since he was the Supreme Champion, but I was totally wrong! *

Ash looked up from his menu. * She’s totally different from what I thought, but I’m sure that we can be friends, if not partners for life. She is actually pretty different from what I thought. *

Erika noticed Ash’s eyes on her and blushed. * Oh my god! He’s looking at me! I never thought his eyes could be so piercing! *

“Are you ready to order yet?” Ash asked.

Erika blinked for a few seconds, before she nodded.

“Great!” Ash waved, and a waiter came over, carrying a bottle of wine in crushed ice and an order pad.

“Yes, sir. How may I help you?”

“Well, I will take the Sand dabs with lemon and paprika, and a bottle of Chardonnay.” Ash said calmly.

Erika piped up. “I would like the Salmon Filet marinated in white wine, and a garden salad.”

“Very well.” The waiter said. He bowed and left, after sending a wine steward over with the alcohol. Ash poured them each a glass of Chardonnay, indicating to Erika that she should try it.

Erika wasn’t too sure. She had never had alcohol on a date before… but she bravely took a sip. It wasn’t too bad, she decided, although in her opinion it tasted like ground rocks mixed with sewage water.

Ash swirled the pale liquid around in his glass and took a small sip. He winced, as he tasted faint traces of poison, embedded in the liquid. The faint tingling in the back of his mind kicked into analysis mode.

< It’s taken from an Arbok, distilled and mixed with mercury and cyanide. > Bulbasaur reported. < But it shouldn’t hurt you. >

            < What about Erika? >

< She’s a grass/poison master, so she should be fine. But just in case, I’ll lace your jellybeans with Antidote. > Bulbasaur said. She waddled out from beneath the table and sprayed them with a faint dusty layer of white antidote.

Erika didn’t notice. However, she felt a bit peckish, so a few minutes later, she popped a few jellybeans in her mouth.

Ash sighed and hoped that it would work.
