Hiya! Part 3 is coming up! So… Now Jessie and James are together, while Ash looks on with amusement, Gary is dead, and everything is just dandy. Poor Misty can’t get revenge on Ash. NOT! *Evil snicker* Hahahahahaha!!! Ahem. Okay, on to the story!

Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN POKEMON! IT BELONGS TO NINTENDO, GAMEFREAK, and 4KIDS! SO DON’T SUE ME!

Okay, I’m not bothering to list Ash’s pokémon since it would take WAY TOO LONG. :(

Another year had passed. Delilah had abandoned all hope of finding Ash now. Professor Oak was in despair since Gary had died, and he had gone into a coma. (Don’t tell me this idea’s already been used!) All in all, Pallet Town had become a rather lonely place where nobody went. That was what made it so perfect for a rocket base. There were hardly any inhabitants, they were sufficiently far away from Viridian or Cinnabar to cause trouble, and there were no defenses or a police force there.

It was just another ordinary day. Delilah was sitting in her garden moodily, while May, Gary’s older sister, sat next to her, equally silent. Both were literally wallowing in profound despair. And what happened next would definitely not help their mood any. While they sat and moped, a rocket blimp flew overhead. “Ready?” a female voice asked. “Affirmative. Let’s go.” Said a male voice in reply.

A slender Persian stood up and hissed. Then, it opened its mouth and dropped a bomb. The explosion caught the inhabitants of Pallet off guard. They looked up in horror to find themselves under attack.

“To protect the world from devastation!”

“To unite all people within our nation!”

“To denounce the evils of truth and love!”

“To extend out reach to the stars above!”

“Jessie!”

“James!”

“Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!”

“Persian, that’s right!”

“Pikachu!”/”Ash!”

Delilah and May watched in horror as a single rocket dressed in the gold of the rocket super elite jumped down from the blimp. An Aerodactyl gripped his shoulders, helping him land. The Pikachu hung on to his uniform tightly. Around his waist glistened a belt of poke balls and in one hand he held a semi-automatic rifle. He had long white hair and green eyes. “All right! Nobody move or you’ll get shot at! Is that clear!” Ash yelled.

Jessie and James watched from above as they secured gas masks. “Are you ready?” James asked. Jessie nodded. James reached for a poke ball and threw it out. “Wheezing, go!” The gaseous pokémon appeared and started to spread thick, toxic, sludge. The sludge was enough to knock out most of the inhabitants. Only a few remained. One was foolhardy enough to rush Ash.

“Aerodactyl, Avalanche!” Ash yelled. Aerodactyl nodded its head in reply as a mountain of ice, snow, and rocks buried the idiot resident. Ash smirked. “Any other challengers?” he asked, with a clearly malicious smirk. “DIE!” yelled a chorus of voices from one side. Ash barely had time to jump before 3 of Oak’s aids rushed at him, armed with poke balls and dangerous-looking scientific equipment.

Ash frowned. These odds weren’t too good. Then he smirked. Well, if it was a fight they wanted, they were going to get one! “Aerodactyl, Hyper Beam! Pikachu, use your Raging Thunder! Elementeon, Bulbasaur, Rainbow Beam! Umbreon, Nightmare! Espeon, Psychic! Phoenix, Flaming Thunder! Squirtle, Hydro Thunder! Charizard, Fire Blast!” The pokémon all obeyed, mowing down the scientists’ opposition. Ash smiled. Then, he turned his attention to May and Delilah, who were looking at him with a mixture of horror and…determination?

Ash blinks. Then, he realizes that Wheezing is already spewing out smog and pulls a gas mask out of his subspace pocket and places it over his face. Delilah and May fainted a few seconds later, being unable to withstand Wheezing’s attack. Ash quickly pulls a coil of rope out of his backpack and ties the two of them up securely. Next, they start taking over the buildings in Pallet.

When Delilah and May woke up, they found themselves in the basement of someone’s house. They were tied up, but they weren’t gagged. “Where are we?” asked May. “I don’t know. But I sure hope Ash is okay.” Said Delilah. Just then, something walked in. “AAAHHHH!” May shouted. Then, she felt a furry paw touch her face. She looked up to see an Espeon standing there.

“Oh! An Espeon! How cute!” said May. “What is an Espeon doing here?” Delilah asked, looking puzzled. They were even more surprised when the Espeon started talking to them telepathically. <Greetings humans. I am the pokémon of Ash, of Team Gold Pikachu. I suppose you are wondering what you are doing here. Well, Team Rocket has taken over your hometown. However, you will not be harmed if you surrender peacefully or join Team Rocket. Any hostile forces will be eradicated.> The Espeon finished.

Delilah and May stared at the Espeon for a full five minutes before doing anything. “No! I will never surrender!” May cried. <Fine.> Said the Espeon. <It is of no concern to me. And you?> Delilah thought for a while. Suddenly, she heard Espeon’s voice again. <And you? Master was concerned…> Delilah blinked. A rocket? Concerned about her? How was that possible?

Unfortunately, their questions were to go unanswered for the time being. Meanwhile, Team Rocket continued their takeover of Pallet Town.

Two weeks later…

Delilah and May were finally let out of the cellar. They were cramped and cold, but otherwise fine. When they saw Pallet town they gasped. It looked almost ordinary, except for the fact that several new buildings had been built. However, there was an ominous feeling in the atmosphere. There were rockets everywhere. Mostly ‘grunts’ in black uniforms, but there were also a few White Rockets, and a trio of Gold Rockets, the elite of Team Rocket.

One of the Gold rockets noticed her and walked up to her. Delilah studied him carefully. White hair, green eyes…. But there was something familiar about him. Just then, he spoke. “So. Are you willing to join Team Rocket, or do you prefer death?” he asked. Delilah swallowed. This was asking a lot of her! Then, she saw a flicker of something familiar in his eyes.

“Ash?” she asked, not wanting to believe it. The Rocket nodded solemnly. Then, he looked at her again. “Well? What is your choice?” Delilah stared at him. “Ash… Where have you been? What have you been doing? Why didn’t you ever come home? Don’t you know how worried I’ve been?” Delilah burst into tears as she looked at Ash. Just then, Delilah saw May advancing on Ash with a knife. “Ash! Watch out!” Delilah pushed him out of the way as the blade contacted, a fatal wound.

“Mom!” Ash shrieked, as he turned towards a gleeful May. “You monster! How dare you!” Ash flew at May in a rage as he pummeled her with his fists, making her drop the knife. “You killed Gary!” May cried, angrily. Ash didn’t say anything. He was too angry to care. “REVIVE!!!” Ash shouted as his wings came out and he transformed into Destiny. “Eternal….. FLAME!” May screamed before she was burned. Nothing was left but a pile of ashes.

Jessie and James stared at Ash’s horrific display of temper, before Jessie realized she had done something of the same sort when she had attempted to kill Misty. James realized a split second later that Ash never lost control except in extreme circumstances, and May had just killed his mom. Ash wrapped his arms around his mother’s frail body and cried. “Ash… I just want you to know baby, that I’ll always love you, no matter what.” Said Delilah before the spirit left her body.

Ash’s eyes were wild, and Jessie and James wisely stayed out of his way as he stalked into the woods. When he was sure he was alone, he drew his sword and stared at it, the gleaming metal reflecting the fire in his golden eyes. * Death…would be so easy right now. Just a quick slash, and no more pain. Why didn’t I object? What have I become? * Ash thought. Just then, sharp laughter rang across the clearing. Ash jumped.

A man walked out of the shadows, dressed in white, as he regarded Ash with interest. “So easy to break…” he said. Ash stared as Pikachu dropped down onto his head from a tree. “Who are you?!” Ash cried. “What are you doing here?!” The man laughed. “I’m just a wandering soul, no one special.” He said. Ash narrowed his eyes. “You’re lying!” I have no reason to believe you!” he shouted.

“Foolish boy. I am more powerful than you will ever be! I warn you, continue to walk this path of evil and it will be your downfall!” The man intoned in a deep voice.

“First you laugh at me, and now you want to help me? What kind of a person are you! I can manage fine on my own! I don’t need any help!” Ash cried. His eyes were wild as he gripped Mysdreavus’ poke ball.

“So touchy.” The man said, laughing. “I am merely a kindred spirit who wants to help. So quit struggling and heed my words.” Ash calmed down a bit and decided to listen to what this guy was going to say.

“Oh chosen one, flighty though you be,

When will you realize that you walk the path of darkness?

Not the path of light?

Darkness will overwhelm you,

The legendaries will turn away from you,

Until you quit the abode of the evil one.

And even then,

Forgiveness does not come easily,

Redemption will not be near,

Will you still follow your own selfish desire?

Or will you return to your duty?

What ties you to Team Rocket?

Why are you still there?

Don’t give me your excuses,

Make your choice!

What will you choose?

The dark or the light,

The shadow perhaps, and try to live in both?

One last warning,

Beware of the aqua-eyed one.

She will come back to you,

Convince you that she was wrong,

Lure you back to her side,

Twist your heart and mind.

Beware, chosen one!
For the control over you is strong,

For her mind is not easily overcome,

Beware, chosen one!

Love is a hold stronger than you may think.

You laugh, but I repeat my warning.

Beware, chosen one!”

(Authoress’ note: Some of my readers were complaining that they didn’t like Ash being with Team Rocket idea, so I decided to try and incorporate it. If anyone protests, I’ll write an alternate ending.)

Then, the man disappeared in a puff of light. “Love? Dark? Light? Shadow? What?” Ash asked. “I’m confused. Some of this makes sense, but Team Rocket isn’t just an evil force! When will people realize that? On the other hand, it’s become of them that mom is dead… I can’t bring her back, no matter what I do…”

We leave Ash to muse for a while and turn to Jessie and James.

“Jessie, I think we should go find Ash. He seems really out of it.” James said. “Uh-huh.” Jessie said, picking up her poke belt. “You’re right. It seems really dangerous. We shouldn’t leave him out there for that long. Who knows what could have happened?” The two rockets told a team of White Rockets to look over the town, and set off into the forest, Growlithe leading the way.

Back to Ash’s POV

Ash sighed. Just then, there was a rustling in the bushes. “Who’s there?” he asked. He was taken by surprise when Misty staggered out into the open. She looked like a mess, with torn clothes, bloody scratches on her arms and legs, and a dizzied expression.

“Misty?!” Ash asked, more surprised then angry. “What are you doing here?” Misty turned to look at Ash, before burying her face in the front of his uniform and bursting into tears. “Misty?” Ash asked. * What’s happened? I have to know. *

“Ash, it’s so terrible…” Misty sniffed. “Brock… he was executed by the pokémon league for being a traitor.” “WHAT?!” Ash asked, surprised. This was something he hadn’t expected. “How did this happen?”

“The pokémon league knew that at least one of the male gym leaders was passing information on to Team Rocket, and they needed a scapegoat, so they chose Brock! And I couldn’t do anything about it…” Misty broke into sobs again as Ash tried to comfort her. “There now, it’s okay, you’ll be all right…” Ash said as he took Misty back to Pallet Town with him. Jessie and James found them a few minutes later.

Okay, a two -month period passes. Ash is falling head over heels in love with Misty, and his pokémon are getting worried…

“Master, this is not a good idea!” Pikachu said. “This is the girl who sent you to the emergency room in a coma a year ago! And now you’re falling in love with her! That is terrible!” Ash ignored Pikachu as he tied his red bow tie and adjusted his suit. Then, he picked up his HUGE bouquet of red roses for Misty. Unknown to Ash, Bulbasaur had doused the flowers with Bulbasaur Super-Strength Sleep Powder™.

Fortunately, Bulbasaur Super-Strength Sleep Powder™ is not immediately activated. Misty didn’t fall asleep until AFTER Ash took her home. (NOT DESCRIBING ROMANTIC SCENES BECAUSE THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE AAMRN!)

Once Ash went home and to bed, Squirtle snuck out of his house. Squirtle hid behind a tree and called Bulbasaur. “Bulbasaur! We can go now!” The two pokémon nodded to each other. (Think Uranus and Neptune from Sailor Moon.) Then, the two conspirators headed off to Misty’s house to finish their mission.

When they got to Misty’s house, they found her snoring on her bed. Except for Starmie and Staryu, who were nocturnal, nobody else was around. Squirtle boosted Bulbasaur up to the window. Bulbasaur extended her vine whips and pulled herself up. Then, she landed inside.

The house was rather dark. Misty was still asleep. Bulbasaur decided that strangulation would be the best method, so she strangled Misty in her sleep. They were about to leave when Staryu and Starmie spotted them. Uh oh…

Bulbasaur quickly sprayed them with sleep powder. “Squirtle, did you learn Amnesia yet?” she asks. Squirtle nods and proceeds to use the amnesia treatment them so the pokémon do not remember anything. When Staryu and Starmie wake up, they are completely confused. They have TOTAL amnesia. They don’t even know why there are at Misty’s house.

Of course, Ash didn’t know Misty was dead yet…

Stay tuned for part four! Sorry that this is so short! I need 10 reviews before I’ll put up part 4!!!!
