Here is part 2! As always, I do not own pokémon! Yes, I am taking the liberty of skipping episodes. So leave me alone! Anyways, I do own Destiny, new pokémon, and new attacks. If you steal them you will be flamed! Since I have seen these episodes only in Chinese, there will be some differences! As always, () is translated poke speech or authoresses’ notes, “” is human speech, and ** indicates thoughts. This will be Rocketshippy!

I am skipping the episode when they first meet Todd, the next episode is when they are trying to take a test to get into the pokémon league. (I don’t know what the title in English is!) Okay, on to the story.

Not yet! Ash’s team: Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Sneasal, Pidgeotto, Umbreon, Blissey, Flareon, Fearow, and two unknown. (Of course, Ash has other pokémon as well.:)

“So, there’s a test you can take to enter the pokémon league without battling the Elite four?” asked Ash. Todd nodded. “Yeah! You should try to take it! Rumor is that almost nobody passes.” “Whatever, I’ll give it a try.” Said Ash. * Even though I know that I could beat the Elite Four by battling. * “You can sign up in that building over there.” Said Todd, indicating a building. Ash walked towards it, followed by Pikachu.

“Okay, your name is Ash Satoshi Ketchum and you’re age 11. Okay, the testing room is over there.” Said the guy running the test. Meanwhile, Ash had spotted a girl with red hair in braids. * She looks familiar…* he thought. Just then, Todd ran up with his camera. “Ash! Look, Nurse Joy’s taking the test too!” he said. Ash waved. “Oh! You must be Ash Ketchum! I’ve heard all about you from my cousins!” said Joy.

“Hi Nurse Joy, why are you taking this test?” asked Ash. “Oh. Well, it’s just that I would love to be a member of the pokémon league, but I’m too busy working. This test is the perfect opportunity.” Said Joy. “Oh.” Said Ash. “The testing will begin in five minutes. Please leave your pokémon with the teacher.” Said the head tester. “Okay.” Said Ash, placing his poke balls on the table.

When they entered the testing room, Ash was amazed at the sheer number of people who were taking the test. He was directed to a cubicle with a computer in it. “The first test is to see if you have acquired enough knowledge of pokémon.” Said the instructor. Ash looked at the screen as the first question flashed up. “Is Hitmonchan known as the punching fiend?” “Of course.” Said Ash, punching the yes button.

Meanwhile, Jessie and James were having problems. “When you first capture it, Magikarp knows no moves but splash. True or False?” “Argh, I hate Magikarp!” said James, moaning. Jessie, who was sitting next to him, calmly pressed button after button. “Jessie, you know all of this stuff?” asked James amazed. “Of course not, you nitwit! But if its not true, its false, right?” said Jessie. “Yeah.” Said James.

“This stuff is easy.” Said Ash as he punched in answer after answer. “Eevee can evolve into Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Umbreon, and Espeon! Still, not everybody knows that so it seems like an unfair question…” “True, Meowth is the Scratch Cat pokémon.” “False, Spearow do not live peacefully with Pidgey.” “Psyduck evolves into Golduck at level 33, true.”

“Test number two!” boomed the instructor. “Identifying pokémon patterns!” Ash stared at the round sphere on the screen before deciding on Electrode, Jessie put a curled up Arbok, and James put a Poke ball. “In actuality, it’s a Jigglypuff!” said the instructor cheerfully. At the mention of Jigglypuff, Ash, Jessie, and James all fell over.

“Hmm, a spiral. Poliwag!” said Ash. “I don’t know…” said James. “Ah! I just can’t take it anymore!” said Jessie as she stormed out of the classroom. * That reminds me of somebody. * was Ash’s last thought before she left. James was getting nervous. If Jessie couldn’t pass, how could he? He nervously stared at the instructor.

“Test number three!” said the Instructor. “A pokémon battle! Please choose a poke belt.” Ash looked at them. “Do we get to know which pokémon we have?” he asked. The instructor shook his head. Ash sighed as he picked one up. James did too. James had to face off against the instructor first. Jessie and Meowth watched in anticipation.

“Poke ball, go!” said James. He stared in amazement as a Pikachu appeared. “A Pikachu! I’ll win for sure!” he said. “Graveler, go!” said the instructor. “Pikachu, ten thousand volts!” shouted James. As electricity does not affect rock-types, the Graveler was perfectly fine.

“Poke balls, go!” shouted James, releasing a Ivysaur and a Charmander. “Attack!” “Hold it! This is against the league rules! You are disqualified!” James slumped off, looking very angry.

Ash was up next. “Flareon, go!” shouted the instructor. “Poke ball, go!” said Ash. He nearly fainted when a Togepi came out. “What?! How do I fight with this?!” he said. The instructor shrugged. “Flareon, Flamethrower!” “Um, Togepi, use Metronome!” said Ash, hoping that Togepi had already learned it. Togepi waved its little hands back and forth as it used Thunder Punch. “Okay, Togepi, now use Charm!” said Ash. Flareon felt its attack fall to an all-time low. “Flareon, tackle!” said the instructor. “Togepi, dodge and use Growl followed by Encore!” said Ash. Togepi growled at Flareon, until its attack could not fall anymore, followed by encore.

Since Encore made the same pokémon repeat the move it just used 2-5 times, Flareon unsuccessfully tried to tackle Togepi repeatedly with no success. It was getting tired. Ash knew this, he was waiting. “Now Togepi, use Sweet kiss!” Togepi kissed Flareon, making it confused, so it hurt itself and fainted.

“Woah. You do know something, kid, but its not going to help you. Jolteon, go!” said the instructor. “Togepi, return. Poke ball go!” said Ash. And lo and behold, out popped a Meowth.” * Oh great. Just my luck. A Meowth?! * “Meowth, Fury Swipes!” said Ash. Meowth Fury swiped Jolteon, making it scream in pain. “Jolteon, Quick attack!” “Faint Attack!” yelled Ash. Meowth disappeared before reappearing behind Jolteon and hitting it. Jolteon went down, since it was weak against Dark type moves. (Yes, Meowth can learn faint attack in gold and silver.)

“Well, you are good. Here’s the last one and the most powerful. Vaporeon, go!” Ash reached over and threw out his last poke ball. Out popped a Magikarp.

“What?!” shouted Ash. “This is unfair! Magikarp can’t fight at all!” “Hmm. I wonder how that got in there. There was supposed to be a Gyrados…”

“Well, I can’t fight with a Magikarp!” yelled Ash. “All right, you may choose one of your own pokémon to substitute.” Said the instructor. “However, you may not use grass or electric types.” Ash put down Pikachu and Bulbasaur. * What should I use against a Vaporeon…wait, I know. * “Eevee, go!” said Ash. “An Eevee? Vaporeon, use Hydro Pump!” “Eevee, dodge and Bite!” said Ash. Eevee barely dodged the Hydro Pump, but it countered with a ferocious Bite to Vaporeon’s neck.

“Now Eevee, use Quick Attack!” cried Ash. Eevee Quick attacked the Vaporeon, making it fall over. Just then, it started to glow. When the light cleared, there was still an Eevee there. However, it had tinges of red, blue, green, yellow, purple, and black in the ruff around its neck. Also, it had longer legs than most Eevee. “Eevee, Thunder!” said Ash. * Thunder?! * thought the instructor. It stared as Eevee let loose a devastating Thunder attack which creamed Vaporeon.

“You have proven your worth. You are now an honorary member of the pokémon league, along with Nurse Joy and Ted. (I just made that up.)” said the Instructor. “But how did you teach Eevee Thunder?” “Thunder is a TM, right? Well, since normal types can learn almost everything, I used the TM on it.” Said Ash. “Oh.” Said the instructor. Just then, there was an explosion.

“To protect the world from devastation!”

“To unite all people within our nation!”

“To denounce the evils of truth and love!”

“To extend our reach to the stars above!”

“Jessie!”

“James!”

“Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!”

“Surrender now or prepare to fight!”

“Meowth, that’s right!”

Ash sighed. Those three would never change. “Elementeon, use your combo attack!” said Ash. Eevee stood up and launched a mixture of Fire blast, Hydro Pump, and Thunder, effectively getting rid of Team Rocket. “It looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!” shouted Jessie as they flew into the air. “Dat’s a rare pokémon! Maybe the boss will want it!” said Meowth. “Yeah.” Said James before they all flew away.

“I now make you an honorary member of the league.” Said the Instructor. Ash shook his head. “I will take the badge, but my journey isn’t over yet. I want to try to win by using my own pokémon.” Then, he accepted the badge, picked up Elementeon, and left.

Ash continued on his journey. Soon, he was on a boat heading for Cinnabar Island. Ash fingered the amulet hanging around his neck. * Soon, very soon. * He thought. Pikachu whimpered a bit, and commenced jumping up and down. Ash sighed. Pikachu was still a child, but a very powerful one. Still…all pokémon needed to grow up sometime. The only question was when.

“Oh! Sorry!” said Ash as he bumped into a blond guy with sunglasses. “No problem.” Said the older man. “By the way, can you answer this riddle? What walks on four legs at birth, two legs later, and finally ends up on three legs?” “That’s easy. It’s a person!” said Ash. “Good.” Said the man, who handed him a package of Kleenex and disappeared into the crowd. “That was a weird person Pikachu.” (I know. He freaked me out.)

When Ash and his pokémon arrived at the port, there was a large crowd of people running around everywhere. “Man, this place is packed!” said Ash. (Yeah. Where will we stay tonight?) Asked Pikachu. “Hmm, let’s go check out the pokémon center!” said Ash. He took off at a run. There, Nurse Joy greeted him.

“I’m sorry, but all the rooms are full.” Said Joy. Ash sighed. Followed by Pikachu, he scoured every hotel in the city. But they were all full! Just as he was leaving one, he heard a familiar voice call. “Hey loser! Hahaha! I guess you didn’t bother to make reservations, did you? Too bad.” Just then, a Jigglypuff walked by. “Help! Jigglypuff! Run!” shouted Ash as he took off, Pikachu sprinting to catch up.

Jigglypuff went to sing. Unfortunately, she sang Gary’s whole group to sleep. Jigglypuff got mad, so she used the soy sauce to paint pictures on their robes before hopping off.

“Hmm. Two hands standing straight up…” said Ash. “Pika!” said Pikachu, pointing to the clock tower, which read 12:00. “Okay, let’s go!” said Ash as he and Pikachu ran towards the clock tower. The same old man greeted them again. “You managed to solve a very tough riddle! Good for you!” said the old man. “Would you like to have dinner with me?” “Oh yes!” said Ash. (Me too!) Said Pikachu.

While they were eating…

“To protect the world from devastation!”

“To unite all people within our nation!”

“To denounce the evils of truth and love!”

“To extend our reach to the stars above!”

“Jessie!”

“James!”

“Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!”

“Surrender now or prepare to fight!”

“Meowth, that’s right!”

“Look at all those fighting pokémon in that school! We’ll make a fortune if we can capture them!” said Jessie. Team Rocket dropped a bomb down to blow the school up, followed by letting down a strong net and capturing all the frantic fighting pokémon.

“What?! The training school’s pokémon have been stolen?!” shouted Blaine. Ash, who was eating, looked up. “What’s the matter?” he asked. “Team Rocket.” Said Blaine. “I can handle them!” said Ash. “C’mon, Pikachu, let’s go!” Ash, Pikachu, and Blaine took off at a run. Soon, they could see Team Rocket in their Meowth balloon.

“Pidgeotto, Pikachu, go!” said Ash. Pikachu jumped onto Pidgeotto as the soared into the sky. “Pikachu, Thunder!” yelled Ash. Pikachu used Thunder against the balloon, so the net fell. “Ah! I looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!” said Jessie as she and the other members vanished in the horizon.

“As my gratitude, I will take you to the secret hot springs.” Said Blaine. “Here is your next riddle. What has fire above and fire below, but no fire in it?” Ash sat in the hot springs and thought about it for a long time. Finally, Sneasal came up with the answer. “It’s simple! The volcano is fire, the magma underneath the ground is fire, and we’re in water! The hot springs!”

Just then, one of the stones started shaking as Togepi walked on it. “Huh?” asked Ash as a secret passage into the volcano opened up. “Wow.” Ash quickly dressed and went down the stone steps, followed by Pikachu and Elementeon. Sneasal stayed outside, since it did not like fire.

“Hmm. A battlefield above the lava! Sneasal was wrong! This is the place where there is fire above, fire below, but no fire in it!” said Ash. He heard the sound of clapping coming from the corner. Out walked the old man he had met earlier.

“I’m sorry for making you wait so long, but I’ve always like mysteries.” He said, pulling off a blond wig and his sunglasses. “Blaine!” said Ash. “Yes. I believe you wanted to challenge me to a 3x3 pokémon battle?” “Yeah!” said Ash. “Good. The battle will now begin! Ninetales, go!”

“Squirtle, go!” said Ash. Everybody knew that fire was weak against water. “Ninetales, Fire Spin!” said Blaine. “Squirtle, Hydro Pump!” Squirtle used Hydro Pump on the Ninetales, which knocked it out, but was taken out when it was boiled by the intense heat of Ninetales’ Fire Spin.

“A double knock out.” Said Blaine. “Rhydon, go!” “Bulbasaur, go!” said Ash. Bulbasaur materialized and shuddered when she saw the lava. “Come on Bulbasaur, Jump into the air and Razor Leaf!” Bulbasaur executed the move she had used before, and the attack was successful, taking out Rhydon.

“Interesting. But your Bulbasaur well never win against Magmar!” said Blaine. Magmar materialized out of the lava and let off a growl. “Bulbasaur, Return!” said Ash. * What can I use against a Magmar? Elementeon, maybe?  It’s worth a try. * With that thought in mind, Ash reached for a poke ball.

“Elementeon, go!” said Ash. Elementeon popped out, looking like an innocent little Eevee. “This must be a joke!” said Blaine, laughing. “Magmar, fire blast!” Magmar obeyed and shot a magnificent Fire Blast from its mouth. “Elementeon, Water Gun!” said Ash. Elementeon glowed blue for a second before shooting out a water gun,

“Interesting. Magmar, Fire Punch!” Magmar Fire Punched Elementeon into the lava. Ash quickly yelled, “Fly!” Elementeon unfolded its wings, which had been hidden under its trailing ruff, and flew up into the air. “Magmar, smog!” said Blaine. Elementeon was poisoned, but didn’t receive too much damage since she was part grass/poison.

“Okay, Elementeon, let’s use combo ice beam and bubble beam!” said Ash. Elementeon obeyed and combined an ice beam and a bubble beam against Magmar. The result? A drenched Magmar covered with bubbles.

“Amazing! You have won the Volcano Badge.” Said Blaine, handing it to Ash. “Thanks! It was a great battle.” He said. Just then, the door to the gym opened. Ash turned around to face Gary Oak. “Yes?” said Blaine, hoping that there wouldn’t be another battle today. “I challenge you Ash, for the Volcano Badge!” said Gary. “Um, I do think that you challenge Blaine, not Me.” said Ash. He quickly got out of there. * Gary’s going insane or something. I wonder why? *

Gary lost to Blaine. Common sense should have told him not to use Ivysaur against Growlithe, but some people were just too stubborn for their own good. Gary was wondering how Ash had beat Blaine. He just wanted to know so he could beat Blaine too. Finally, Blaine got tired of Gary’s whining. “Ash used an Eevee.” He said. * Hmm. An Eevee? Maybe I should have used mine… *

Okay, skip to the episode with Ash at the Viridian city gym. Let’s just say Gary got there first and beat Giovanni…although I know that’s technically not possible. Okay, Giovanni didn’t use Mewtwo. How about that? Anyways, did Gary get an earth badge in the animation series? If he didn’t, how was he able to compete in the pokémon league?

“Ha! In your face loser! I beat Giovanni!” said Gary. “No!” said Ash. “Hahahaha. I always knew you were a loser. Anyways, smell ya later!” said Gary. “Grr. How did Gary beat Giovanni? I have to get the earth badge too!” Ash took off for the gym at a very fast run, followed by Pikachu, Elementeon, and Togepi.

“I challenge you for an earth badge!” said Ash, as soon as he got into the Viridian City gym. “Very well.” Said Giovanni. “Golem, go!” “Squirtle, go!” said Ash. “Hydro Pump!” Due to the fact that Ash had been feeding Squirtle lots of Carbohydrates and Golem was already pretty slow, Squirtle got the first hit and took out Golem.

“Not bad young man. You have trained your pokémon well. But you will not be able to beat my next pokémon. Kingler, go!” Kingler appeared and rushed at Squirtle. “Ice Beam!” said Ash. Squirtle froze Kingler solid, and then proceeded to use Skull Bash to severely wound it.

“Kingler, Guillotine.” Said Giovanni as the ice suddenly melted off Kingler. (Yes, this really does happen in Gold and Silver!) Kingler raised its claws and fired off an unavoidable Guillotine attack, which took Squirtle out. Ash considered his options before sending out another pokémon. “Bulbasaur, go! Solar beam!” While Kingler tries to crab hammer Bulbasaur, she takes in energy and finally releases a massive Solar Beam attack.

Kingler, being a water type, was unable to take the pressure and fainted. Then, Giovanni laughed. “You may have beat two of my pokémon, but you will never faint the last one. Never!” He pushed a secret button as one of the walls slid up, revealing a pokémon dressed in armor. Ash immediately got out his pokédex.

“Scanning….No pokémon found.” Said Dexter. “What?!” shouted Ash. “All right, Bulbasaur, try to use Vine Whip and restrain it!” Bulbasaur extended her vines towards the unknown pokémon, but was hit with a Psychic attack and fainted. * Hmm. A psychic pokémon. Ghost pokémon should be good against it. But poison is weak against Psychic types. What should I do? Oh yeah! This is just the thing. * With that in mind, Ash reached for his third poke ball. “Umbreon, go!”

“What?!” asked Giovanni, since he had never seen dark types before. “Hmm. Oh well. Mewtwo, Psywave!” Mewtwo shot a Psywave at Umbreon, but nothing happened. “Umbreon, Faint Attack!” yelled Ash. Umbreon disappeared and reappeared behind Mewtwo, hitting it hard. “Argh! Mewtwo, use Disable!” said Giovanni in a rage.

“Umbreon, Counter!” said Ash. Umbreon skillfully avoided Mewtwo’s attack and used Counter, hitting it. “Now use Faint Attack again!” said Ash. Umbreon did and hit Mewtwo, who’s HP dropped down to almost zero.

“Mewtwo, Recover.” Said Giovanni. He was badly shaken. He had expected Mewtwo to be invulnerable, but now this tiny pokémon was totally whipping it. “Umbreon, Confuse Ray!” shouted Ash. Umbreon used Confuse Ray on Mewtwo, making it confused so that it hurt itself. “Now use Shadow Ball!” Umbreon opened her mouth and fired a beam of pure darkness at Mewtwo, finally knocking it out.

“Yes!” said Ash, dancing around in jubilation as he poured Full Restore on his tired out Umbreon.  Giovanni was in shock. * I can’t believe it! Somebody actually beat Mewtwo! I must discuss this with my scientists. * Taking Mewtwo to the underground lab, Giovanni quickly left.

“Sir, we have run tests. It seems that the pokémon your challenger used has a resistance to psychic attacks. Our informer in Johto says that there are two new types of pokémon there, dark and steel. Steel pokémon have high defense and attack, but hardly any speed. Dark types are resistant to psychic attacks. Perhaps the pokémon that your challenger used was a dark type. Can you describe it?”

“The pokémon resembled Eevee and was called an Umbreon. It had black fur, red eyes, and gold rings around its legs and tail.” Said Giovanni.

“Umbreon. Aha! Here it is. Umbreon, the moonlight pokémon. Can only be obtained when a happy Eevee evolves at night. What nonsense! Anyways, the attacks it knows are tackle and tail whip at Lv5, sand attack at Lv8, Chase at Lv16, Quick attack at Lv23, Confuse Ray at Lv30, Faint Attack at Lv36, Mean Look at Lv42, Screech at Lv47, and Moonlight at Lv52.”

“Interesting.” Said Giovanni. He went back to his control center and called a team of his special agents. “Go to Johto and capture as many types of pokémon as possible.” “Yes sir!” said the grunts. Then, they left. * Ash Ketchum will make a great ally for Team Rocket. If only he would be willing to join…*

“Yes, mom, I’ll be home soon.” Said Ash as he hung up. “C’mon, Pikachu, we’re going home!” (Yeah! Ketchup and potatoes!) said Pikachu. Ash sweat dropped. (Nice soft beds to sleep on!) said Elementeon. Blissey picked up a squirming Togepi and grinned too.

Just then, Ash crashed into an invisible wall. “Huh? What was that?” said Ash. Elementeon shrugged. Just then, Ash spotted a Red and white pokémon. He pointed his pokédex at it. “Mr. Mime. The psychic pokémon.” It chirped. “Heh. A psychic pokémon. This should be easy. Sneasal, go!” said Ash. Sneasal appeared and used Slash on Mr. Mime, wounding it. “Okay, now poke ball go!” said Ash. The stunned Mr. Mime was quickly stuck inside and sent off to Oak’s laboratory.

Just then, Ash spotted a lady in a circus costume. “Oh dear, where is the Professor’s house anyways?” she said. “Hello.” Said Ash. “I can show you where the Professor’s house is.” “Oh could you please? I need help controlling a Mr. Mime.” Said the lady. “Hmm. Then I can help you!” said Ash.

“You?” said the lady, laughing. Ash looked peeved. “Never mind. Your probably can’t control your Mr. Mime by yourself, so why should I bother? Come on, let’s go.” Said Ash. Pikachu, Elementeon, and Blissey with Togepi in her pouch ran to catch up.

The next day, Ash and his mom went to a pokémon circus. There was the lady who had scorned Ash’s help the day before. She was pleading with her Mr. Mime. Ash laughed softly. The lady, who was named Christy (I have no clue what her English name is!) turned around and looked angry.

“What do you want?” she said. Ash shrugged. “You know, if this continues, a lot of people are going to start demanding their money back.” He said. Christy sighed. “Why won’t it obey me?” she asked. “Simple. You don’t have any badges.” “That doesn’t prove anything!” said Christy, flaring up. Ash shrugged. “Mine obeys me because I have all 8 badges and two dark pokémon.” He said.

“What am I going to do?” said Christy, breaking down and looking at the Mr. Mime who was currently stuffing itself with soda and chips. Ash shrugged. Just then, he felt someone grab him. “What the h***!” he shouted. Then, there was blackness and nothing else.

When Ash revived, he saw that his body was wrapped tightly in rope except for his head. “What the f***! Where am I?!” Then there was the sound of a light switch flicking on and a man appeared. “Hello Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town. I believe we have met before?” Ash stared blankly before something registered in his mind. “You’re Giovanni, head of the Viridian City gym!” he said.

“Correct. Of course, I am also the head of Team Rocket, and I have a little proposal to make.” Said Giovanni. Ash stared for a few seconds. “How about we make a little deal? You join Team Rocket, and I’ll spare your hometown. If you don’t, Moltres here will burn the city to ashes. And you wouldn’t want that, would you?”

Ash considered for a very long time. * What’s more important, my future or the lives of others? * He thought. Finally, he came to a conclusion. “Will you swear to me by all that you hold sacred that if I join Team Rocket, you will not burn my hometown or hurt my family?” he asked. “Of course.” Said Giovanni smoothly.

“Very well. In that case, I will join.” He said. “I knew you would be able to see it my way.” Said Giovanni. “Come. You will be fitted for your uniform and issued new pokémon. You may not get your original ones back until you have proven your loyalty. I would not be so dumb as to give you all your original pokémon and have you running off, would I?”

“No sir.” Said Ash. Then, he was led to his fitting room. Ash was issued the black rocket all new members were given and two pokémon. Ash cautiously opened the first ball and saw an Eevee. The second one contained a Zubat. Ash sighed. He already missed Pikachu and Blissey and Togepi and Elementeon and Flareon and Umbreon and Bulbasaur and Squirtle and Pidgeotto and Charmander and Sneasal and… Then he sighed. Moping around would not do any good, so he left.

After weeks of training, Giovanni called Ash to his office. “Ash, you are a missing person, you know that right? So I’m going to have to change your hair and eye color.” “Yes sir.” Said Ash. “Do I get to pick?” “Well, I suppose so. Scientist Mark here will fit you up.”

Several days later, Ash emerged from the lab/hospital room. He now had silvery-white hair and green eyes. (It looks interesting.) Was the only comment that Eevee made. Zubat didn’t say anything at all, since it was napping. “Your first assignment will be to rob Professor Oak’s research center.” Said Giovanni. “Yes sir.” Said Ash, keeping his emotions hidden behind an emotionless stare.

That night, Ash, riding a Team Rocket issued blimp along with Jessie and James, landed right in Professor Oak’s pokémon reserve. In his backpack he carried a few hundred poke balls. “Ready guys?” he asked. Jessie and James nodded as they released Arbok and Wheezing, just in case any pokémon woke up.

It was almost too easy. Since 95% of the pokémon were sleeping, they were all dropped in poke balls and sent off to Team Rocket headquarters. Most of the pokémon had been stolen until they moved into an area that had several nocturnal pokémon. “Careful.” Said Ash, stepping over a sleeping Snorlax as he dropped a Great Ball on it. Just then, there was the sound of an explosion.

James, the blundering idiot that he was, (Sorry James lovers!) had awakened a whole group of Electrode, who were using explosion. “The noise will wake the professor!” said Ash. “What do we do?” asked Jessie. Ash sighed. “I had hoped it wouldn’t come to this, but… Jigglypuff, sing!” Jigglypuff opened its mouth and sang, putting all the pokémon in the area to sleep.

Ash, Jessie, James, and Meowth ran around gathering up all the rare pokémon they could find. Soon, the area was free of pokémon and they had several thousand filled poke balls. They ran back to the blimp and took off. The blimp staggered under the huge load, but gained altitude. They were soon back in Viridian.

“I am amazed at your prowess.” Said Giovanni. “As a reward, you may keep some of the pokémon as your own, unless you want to trade for your old ones back.” “I will take my old ones, with a due respect sir.” Said Ash. He joyfully reclaimed his pokémon. Giovanni was pleased that Ash had done so well on his first mission. Even Jessie and James were a bit surprised.

As a result, Ash got a three-day vacation. He decided to go to the Sea foam Islands and relax. So he did. On the last day, Ash was sleeping when a shock from Pikachu woke him up. “Wha-what are you doing, Pikachu!” Pikachu chirped and pointed to a huge pack of Dratini in the water below.

“Wow. I’m going to capture one! Pikachu, Bulbasaur, go!” Bulbasaur held Pikachu in one of its vines and dangled it beneath the surface. In its mouth Pikachu held a Poke ball. As soon as a Dratini wandered near, Pikachu gave it a Thunder wave followed by a Thundershock, and then dropped the ball on it. As soon as she was finished, she gave Bulbasaur a slight shock, which was the signal to pull her up.

Ash putted his soaked Pikachu and dried it off with a towel, before opening the poke ball and examining the Dratini inside. It was still paralyzed, so Ash used a Paralyze Heal and a potion on it. Then Ash sighed. It was almost time to go back to the Headquarters. Ash collected his belongings and changed into his black uniform. “Espeon, go.” He said. Espeon materialized and Teleported them back to Viridian.

The next day…

“Your next assignment is to steal this Sandslash.” Said Giovanni, showing Ash a picture of a boy with red hair and blue eyes. “Yes, sir.” Said Ash. “Where is he now?” “Well, the target is somewhere between Celadon and Saffron. If you need help, call one of the members in either Celadon or Saffron. They’ll help you out.” Said Giovanni. “Very well.” Said Ash. Picking up Pikachu and Sneasal. Elementeon was napping and Togepi and Blissey didn’t go on missions.

“Hey, Jessie, James, we have another mission!” said Ash. Jessie walked in and took a look at the picture. “That little shrimp? Of course we can take him on. Let’s go!” Jessie, James, and Ash traveled through the area scouring for the kid. Ash was disguised as a trainer, his uniform hidden under a vest and baggy pants, with sunglasses over his eyes.

Finally, after a fruitless day of searching, James spotted the kid through his binoculars. “There he is. Let’s get him!”

Red (Yes, that’s the kid’s name) was walking through the forest when he saw another trainer. The other trainer had a really geeky outfit and a Pikachu. “Let’s battle!” said Red. “My pleasure.” Said the other person. “I choose Squirtle!” “A Squirtle? Ha! My Sandslash is immune to water attacks!” said Red proudly. “We shall see.” Said Ash. “Squirtle, Ice Beam and Blizzard combo attack!” The result? A frozen, almost dead Sandslash. “Oh no!” said Red. “I’m in trouble!”

“Did someone say trouble?” interrupted a voice.

“Yeah, and we’d better make it triple!” said a voice.

“To protect the world from devastation!” said Jessie

“To unite all people within our nation!” said James.

“And to keep trainers in their proper station!” said Ash.

“To denounce the evils of truth and love!” said Jessie,

“To extend our reach to the stars above!” said James.

“And destroy the powers of the annoying Gov.! (Short for Government.) said Ash

“Jessie!” “James!” “Ash!”

“Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!” said Jessie

“Surrender now or prepare to fight!” said James

“And you’d better believe that’s right!” said Ash.

“Meowth, that’s my line!”  (Authoress’ note: I know the speech sounds lame, but I don’t know how else to rhyme it!)

“All right, cut it out with the small talk. Hand over your pokémon now!” said Ash. The trainer stared. “Y-you were part of Team Rocket all along! Why you!”  “Pikachu, Thunder Wave.” Said Ash calmly. Then, he picked up the frozen Sandslash. “Espeon, I choose you! Let’s Teleport!”

Red woke up at the police station. “Okay, here’s the info on the people that attacked you. That’s all our spy was able to get.” Said Officer Jenny. “But I doubt that you will find your Sandslash again. It’s rather hopeless to get anything back from Team Rocket.”

Jessica Musashi- Age 17, Rocket Elite member. Known pokémon: Arbok, Lickitung.

James Kojiro- Age 17, Rocket Elite member. Known pokémon: Wheezing, Growlithe, and Victreebell.

Ash ?- Age 13, Rocket Grunt. (May be promoted soon.) Known pokémon: Pikachu, Squirtle, Espeon, and Charmander. Also has a Blissey and a Togepi but those can’t fight.

“Sir, we have successfully captured the Sandslash.” Said Ash. “Very well. Your next assignment is to raid the Moo moo farm. You will steal the six Milktanks they have. Those Milktanks are very rare since their milk cures pokémon instantly.” “Yes sir.” Said Ash, Jessie, James, and Meowth, all saluting.

“A Milktank farm. I have a great idea.” Said Ash. “What?” said James. “Well, I have a herd of Tauros, remember. And Milktank and Tauros are the same species…” “Aha! I get your point!” said Jessie. “Well, let’s hop to it.” The four rockets snuck off after Ash had gotten his herd of Tauros from the storage room were they had been sleeping.

That night, there was a commotion at the Moo moo farm. When the dust cleared, all the farmer could see was a lone Tauros sitting on the ground. All his precious Milktanks were gone. How had people stolen them? He had purposely made sure that the gate could only have been opened by himself…unless the Milktanks willingly left him.

Ash and James watched from a tree. The Milktanks and Tauros’ were in heat, and it was not a nice sight. “Oh well. At least we’ll get lots of Milk from the Milktanks.” Said James. Jessie was brushing Meowth’s fur. “That was a quick assignment, Ash. I guess it was lucky that you captured all those Tauros in the Safari Zone.” “Yeah…I guess.” Said Ash.

As the months passed, they completed assignment after assignment. Ash was promoted to the same level as Jessie and James. Then, four months after he had been captured, the boss made a shocking announcement.

“Ash, I know that it was your dream to become the pokémon master. I am now going to allow you to make that dream a reality.” Said Giovanni. Ash couldn’t believe his ears. “Sir-you’re not serious?” he gasped. Giovanni laughed. “It would be wonderful for Team Rocket if the League Champion was one of them, wouldn’t you agree?” he asked. “Oh yes sir!” said Ash. “Very well. You are to report to Indigo Plateau for the Championships, which I believe will start in two weeks. I expect you to win.”

“Yes sir!” said Ash. As soon as he was out of the room, he hugged Pikachu. “Isn’t it great? Now I can finally become a master!” said Ash. (Yeah!) Said Pikachu. (Let’s go!)

So Ash and his pokémon headed off to Indigo Plateau.

Gary Oak had not been troubled at all by Ash’s disappearance. After all, he could care less if his rival was gone for good. Professor Oak was a bit troubled, and Delilah was inconsolable. They decided to head for the League Championships for two reasons. One, so Gary could compete, and two, to try and take Delilah’s mind off Ash.

Gary hated Team Rocket for robbing the pokémon reserve. He had lost almost 100 pokémon! Team Rocket was going to pay. Now, only Gary’s Nidoking, Arcanine, Pidgeot, Gyrados, Rhydon, and Alakazam were left. Gary was hopping mad. He wanted to avenge his terrible loss by winning first place in the tournament. (Like that would help. Actually, it would probably boost his ego.)

But before the tournament began, they had to light the flame of Moltres. Ash watched with bored interest as Jessie and James attacked the last kid. Then, he stepped down and pretended to try and fight them off. (It’s hard faking this Ash.) Pikachu said. Ash nodded. As soon as the flame was upon him, and hundreds of people watched in horror, Ash swiftly unhooked the red master ball on his belt. Moltres appeared and absorbed the flame, before lighting the torch and flying off.

“Amazing!” said the old man. “Young man, you have just saved the flame of Moltres!” * Yeah, yeah. * thought Ash. Out loud he said “Thank you sir.” Then, he quickly got out of there. Meanwhile, Delilah was staring. That boy had reminded her so much of Ash-always willing to give his life for others. She could have sworn she saw his white hair turn black, but it was probably just her imagination, right?

That night, Ash found Moltres sleeping by his campfire. He smiled and petted her head. “Come on, when this is over, we shall be free to return.” Moltres nodded and went back to sleep.

The day after…

Ash watched from his stands as the preliminary rounds started. He had already been accepted to compete, (partially because of his good deed), so he was bored. Just then, Pikachu nudged him. (Look. There’s Gary Oak!) Ash gasped and then smiled. “Well Pikachu, we’ll deal with problems when we get to them.” Then, Ash returned his attention to the match.

The next day, the first round started. Ash was up against a girl named Sandy while Gary was against a boy named Jake.

Ash vs. Sandy at the Water field.

“Today’s match is between the red trainer Sandy, and the green trainer Ash!” said the announcer. The match will now begin.”

“Squirtle, go!” said Ash. “Exeggutor, go!” said Sandy. “Squirtle, Hydro Pump!” “Exeggutor, Psychic!” Squirtle hit Exeggutor with his Hydro Pump attack, but got hit by Psychic. “Squirtle, hang in there and skull bash!” shouted Ash. Squirtle did and forcefully knocked the Exeggutor into the water, fainting it. “Exeggutor has been eliminated! What will Sandy’s next pokémon be?”

“Seadra, go!” said Sandy. “Swift!” Seadra rushed at Squirtle, who ducked inside his shell. “Bubble beam.” Said Ash. Squirtle obeyed and hit Seadra with Bubble beam, which sent it flying high into the sky. “Now use Rocket Tackle!” shouted Ash. Squirtle did and Seadra was eliminated.

“You’ll never win against my last pokémon!” said Sandy. “Golbat, go!” Golbat materialized and fired Confuse Ray at Squirtle, confusing him. “Squirtle, return.” Said Ash. “Jolteon, I choose you!” Jolteon appeared and let off a Thunder before anyone could react, which fainted Golbat.

“And the winner is the green trainer, Ash!” said the announcer.

Elsewhere…”And Gary Oak has successfully beaten his opponent, the blue trainer Jake!”  Said the announcer. Gary grinned. “Ha! The loser didn’t even bother to show up! What a coward!” Gary’s cheerleading squad cheered as Gary left the field, grinning from ear to ear.

When Ash got back to his campsite, he found Blissey and Togepi there eating food. Ash sighed as he opened his poke balls. “Okay, everyone, time to eat!” he said. Lots of pokémon emerged and all began eating bowls of poke chow. Ash had some sandwiches as he watched a few matches on his portable T.V. When night fell, Sneasal, Umbreon, and Murkrow went out to hunt while the rest of the pokémon slept, except for Noctowl, who was keeping watch.

“Do you think its possible that the trainer who saved the Moltres flame from being stolen by Team Rocket was Ash?” asked Delilah. Professor Oak shrugged. “I don’t know. It does seem possible though. But why would he hide from us? However, he does have the same name. It’s a mystery.”

“There’s no way that kid was the loser.” Said Gary, adding in his own two cents worth. What he didn’t expect was for Delilah to reach across the table and slap him. “You keep quiet! I’ve lost my son, and you don’t know how that feels like!” she said. “Yes I do! All of my pokémon were stolen!” said Gary.

“You two, quit arguing” said the Professor. “We’ll never find out just by bickering. Gary, I want you to keep an eye on that kid.” “What?!” said Gary. Professor Oak gave him a look that said if you don’t do that, I’ll kill you, so Gary obeyed.

The next day…

Ash vs. Matthew at the Rock field.

“Nidorino, go!” said Matthew. “Squirtle, go!” said Ash. “Nidorino, Horn Attack!” “Squirtle, Withdraw!” shouted Ash. Nidorino threw Squirtle around the rings until finally it was in the air above Nidorino. “Now use Hydro Pump!” shouted Ash. The Nidorino fainted under the barrage of water. “No! Nidorino, return! Go Nidoqueen!” shouted Matthew. “Squirtle, Blizzard!” shouted Ash. Squirtle obeyed and K.O. ‘d Nidoqueen. “Argh! Nidoqueen, return! Go, Nidoking! Toxic!” Nidoking poisoned Squirtle, so Ash called him back. “All right, I choose Pikachu!” said Ash.

“Pikachu, Thunder!” said Ash. Pikachu zapped the Nidoking, which fell over, but staggered up again. “Toxic, Nidoking!” shouted the trainer. “Pikachu, evade and use Agility!” Pikachu evaded the attack, used Agility to boost its speed, and finally let loose a horrific Thunder which sent the Nidoking straight to the pokémon center. “And the winner is the green trainer, Ash!” said the announcer. Ash quickly picked up Squirtle and Pikachu, the summoned Espeon to teleport them to the pokémon center.

Gary had also passed the second round. Meanwhile, Delilah and Oak were talking. “Hmm, Ash the unknown trainer has a Squirtle, a Pikachu, a Bulbasaur, and sort of the same personality as Ash. But he also has Espeon and Jolteon. It’s very confusing.”

The next day…

Ash beat Clark at the ice field, thanks to Jolteon and Umbreon, and Gary lost to Gregory at the rock field. He was really disappointed. “If those damn rockets hadn’t stolen my pokémon, I would have won!” he shouted. Professor Oak and Delilah sighed. “But I’ll stay here to watch the next few rounds.” Said Gary. “Good. You can help us spy on Ash.” Said Professor Oak. “Fine.” Said Gary.

The day after that…

Ash was up against a trainer named Richard, who was rumored to be really good. “Hmm, I found out from other trainers that he has a Charmander named Zippo, a Pikachu named Sparky, and a Butterfree named Happy.” Said Ash. “But I don’t know about his other ones. And he knows that I have Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Espeon, and Jolteon. Therefore, he should have an advantage.” Said Ash. (But he doesn’t, since you also have Sneasal, Umbreon, Flareon, Elementeon, Murkrow, Fearow, and Pidgeotto.) said Togepi. “Yeah.” Said Ash. (Besides, you’re allowed to switch pokémon between rounds.) Said Blissey.

“Ash! Your match is in 15 minutes!” shouted the referee. Ash nodded as he picked up his poke belt and headed out to the Grass field. There, he met Richard. “Please call me Richie.” Said Richard. “Okay.” Said Ash. He turned around and went to the other side of the field, hoping that Richie hadn’t seen the red “R” charm on his necklace.

“This battle will now begin, with the red trainer Richie against the green trainer Ash!” said the announcer. “Happy, go!” said Richie. “Then I choose Umbreon!” said Ash. “What?” said Richie, pointing his pokédex at it. “Umbreon. The moonlight pokémon.” “Moonlight pokémon? Oh well, Happy, use Psychic!” shouted Richie. Ash laughed as Psychic passed right through Umbreon’s body.

“Psychic attacks can not hurt dark type pokémon.” Said Ash. “Umbreon, use your Faint Attack!” Umbreon disappeared and reappeared behind Butterfree, before hitting it. “Butterfree, Stun Spore!” said Richie. Umbreon was partially paralyzed, but not completely. “Umbreon, Psychic!” Umbreon obeyed and launched Psychic at Butterfree, knocking it out since it was a bug/poison type.

“Happy, return. Sparky, go! Thunder punch!” Sparky emerged and Thunder punched Umbreon, knocking its HP down. “Moonlight.” Said Ash. Umbreon glowed silver for a moment as it healed itself. ‘Now use Bite.” Umbreon ran towards Sparky and bit its leg. Sparky took this opportunity to launch a Thunder Attack. “Umbreon, Curse!” shouted Ash. Umbreon obeyed and shot a beam of black light at Sparky, before fainting.

“Huh? Oh well.” Said Richie. * If curse is an attack, why didn’t it do anything? * “Umbreon, return! Sandslash, I choose you!” Sandslash appeared. “Quick attack.” Said Richie. Sparky ran at Sandslash, but fainted as soon as the attack was over. “What the?” asked Richie. “Curse steadily cuts down your opponent’s HP if it continues to fight.” Said Ash. “Sparky, return! I choose Grumpy (Tentacruel)!”

“This is amazing folks!” shouted the announcer. “Ash has not used any of the pokémon we have seen before!” “Grumpy, use Hydro Pump!” shouted Richie. “Sandslash, return.” Said Ash. “Hmm. I know. Jolteon, go! Raging thunder!” Jolteon appeared and electrocuted Tentacruel, so it was out of the match. (Note: Raging Thunder is like Thunder, only it never misses. It’s fueled by the anger of the pokémon performing the attack.)

“And the winner is Ash, the green trainer!” shouted the announcer. “If this pattern continues, Ash will become the pokémon league champion!” Richie ran down and picked up Tentacruel, while Ash hugged his Jolteon. Then, Ash summoned Espeon and vanished.

Ash is a pretty good trainer. * thought Gary. * I wonder where he’s from. * Professor Oak turned to Delilah. “I don’t recognize the style of battling, but it doesn’t seem like your boy.” He said. Delilah sighed. “I just wish it was really Ash. That would make me so happy.” She said. Then, they left the stadium.

*One last round. * Ash thought. Then he grinned. “Pikachu, we can do this! One more round and I’ll be a pokémon master!” he said. Pikachu grinned too, mimicking her master. Togepi walked up. (Can you use me this time?) She asked. “I suppose so.” Said Ash. “well, I guess we’d better go to sleep or we won’t have any energy tomorrow.” Ash curled up in his sleeping bag and went to sleep.

The next day…

“And it’s the final round, between the green trainer Ash and the red trainer Samantha!” said the announcer. “Unlike the other rounds, this match will be a full 6x6 match! The battle will begin now!”

“Fearow, go!” said Samantha. “Pidgeotto, go!” said Ash. “And the two have both chosen to start out with bird pokémon!” said the announcer. *Pidgeotto, hmm, Ash had a Pidgeotto, I think. * was Professor Oak’s thought. Gary looked at Ash. “I hope he loses.” He said. “Gary, that’s very impolite.” Said Delilah.

“Pidgeotto, Desert Storm!” shouted Ash. Pidgeotto nodded and whipped up a cyclone of ground, electric, and wind energy. It hit the Fearow dead on, which dropped like a stone. “Now give it a Gust!” shouted Ash. Pidgeotto replied and Fearow was knocked out.  Then, Pidgeotto started to glow. When the light cleared, a magnificent Pidgeot stood there.

“Fearow, return! I choose Raichu!” shouted Samantha. * A Raichu. Pidgeot is going to have trouble with this one. I had better switch. * “Pidgeotto, return!” said Ash. “Sandslash, I choose you!” Sandslash appeared and looked at the Raichu. “Earthquake!” shouted Ash. Sandslash obeyed and used Earthquake on Raichu, severely damaging it. “Mega Kick!” shouted Samantha. Raichu obeyed and Mega Kicked Sandslash, followed by a Mega Punch. “Sandslash, use your Fissure!” shouted Ash. It was a one hit K.O.

“Raichu, return! Ivysaur, go!” said Samantha. “And Samantha has chosen to try and win with an elemental advantage!” said the announcer. “What will Ash do now?” Ash gripped the railing and looked at Sandslash. “Fissure.” He said. Sandslash obeyed, and Ivysaur was knocked out in one hit. (Yes, this can really happen!)

“Oh no! Ivysaur, return! Vaporeon, go!” said Samantha. “Hydro Pump!” Sandslash was soaked and fainted. “Sandslash, come back.” Said Ash. “Pikachu, I choose you! Ten thousand volt Thunder!” Pikachu obeyed and Vaporeon was out of the match.

“This is turning out to be exciting, folks!” said the announcer. “Samantha has only 2 pokémon left while Ash still has five! Can she win this battle?” Samantha unhooked another ball from her belt and threw it out into the ring. “Golem, go! Rock slide!” Pikachu was hit with a full force rock slide and fainted. “Pikachu, return! Togepi, I choose you!” said Ash.

Everyone in the stadium stared at Ash, as if he had just gone crazy. “A Togepi?” said Professor Oak. “But it’s a baby pokémon! There’s no way it can fight!” Ash thought back to the time when he was taking the test to enter the league. “Togepi, use Sweet Kiss!” he said. Togepi obeyed and Golem was confused. “Golem, Earthquake!” said Samantha. Golem hurt itself in its confusion. “Now use Cuteness!” said Ash. Golem’s Attack fell to almost zero. “Golem, Tackle!” said Samantha. “Togepi, Teleport! Then use Encore!”

Golem tried to tackle Togepi 4 times but it always got out of the way. ( Togepi, do you know how to use Metronome?) asked Pikachu. (Yes.) said Togepi. “All right, Togepi, use Metronome!” said Ash. Togepi concentrated very hard and lifted Golem up into the air, smashing it against the stands. “Good! Follow up with Take Down!” Togepi did and Golem was finally knocked out.

“It’s unbelievable folks!” shouted the announcer. “Ash’s Togepi has just taken out Golem! Samantha only has one pokémon left!” Samantha opened her poke ball and out came a Mew.

“A Mew!” shouted Ash. Jessie and James, who were cheering for Ash in the stands, stared. “A Mew? But there aren’t any.” Said James. “Who gives! We’ll steal it after the match!” said Jessie. “What will Ash do?” said the announcer, clearly enjoying this unusual spectacle.

“Togepi, Metronome!” said Ash. But before Togepi could fire off an attack, Mew had already used Explosion and knocked it out. “Oh no! Togepi, return! Milktank, go!” Milktank appeared, saw that the Mew was a male, and proceeded to use attract. Mew got hearts all over its head. “Milktank, Rollout!” said Ash. Milktank used Rollout on Mew, who suddenly came to his senses and used Psychic, knocking out Milktank as well.

“Milktank, return! Jolteon, go!” said Ash. Jolteon rushed into the ring and managed to damage Mew with Thunder, but was then hit with repeated Psybeams and fainted. “Now this is getting interesting folks! Samantha’s Mew is taking out all of Ash’s pokémon! What will he do?” Ash closed his eyes and pulled out Umbreon. “Come on Umbreon, you can do it!” said Ash.

“Mew, Hypnosis followed by Dream Eater!” Said Samantha. Umbreon was soon off in dreamland, HP steadily falling. *How did she teach Mew Dream Eater?! A psychic type shouldn’t be able to beat a dark type! I need to train more… *  “Umbreon, return!” said Ash. * Who am I going to use now? I can only use one more pokémon…* His hand fell on a random poke ball and he threw it into the ring.

“Amazing! Ash’s last pokémon is an Eevee! Can it take on Mew?” said the announcer, clearly enjoying the spectacle. Ash breathed a sigh of relief. He had chosen Elementeon. He was sure she could take on Mew. “Elementeon, use Rainbow Beam!” he said. A mix of fire, water, ice, electric, grass, poison, psychic, dark, ghost, and ground energy flew at Mew, hitting him squarely in the chest. Mew fell to the ground, badly damaged. “Now use Shadow Ball!” said Ash. A beam of pure darkness hit Mew, finally knocking it out.

“And the winner is the green trainer, Ash!” said the announcer. “With a Eevee! Imagine!” Ash quietly went down and hugged Elementeon. “I’m so happy! My dream is finally fulfilled! I’m finally a pokémon master!”

When Delilah heard this, she went into shock. That sounded so much like her little boy… Professor Oak looked surprised also. “I want to run tests on that Eevee.” He said abruptly. Gary looked sullen. “That stuck-up brat doesn’t deserve to win the championships. I do.” He said, thinking of ways to get rid of Ash.

Ash quietly snuck away as soon as the awards ceremony was over. He had noticed his mom and Professor Oak in the crowd, and did not want to be questioned. Nor did he want Professor Oak to run tests on Elementeon. She would hate it!

However, luck was not with him. Ash had scarcely left the stadium when he was grabbed by a Golem. “What the?!” he said, trying to move. “Don’t move, Ash.” Said a voice. “There are some questions we’d like to ask you. Like how an Eevee could beat a Mew. And how you got so many rare pokémon. And maybe some other questions too…”

Lights appeared. Ash looked up into the face of his longtime rival, Gary Oak. “You have the wrong person.” He said, blowing a strand of white hair out of his face. “I don’t think so.” Said Gary. “You are hereby under my custody.”

Ash gritted his teeth as he closed his eyes and whistled a note so shrill that no human ear could hear it. But deep in the woods, Ash’s other pokémon heard it. They had been waiting for their friend and master to get back so they could leave, but they heard his distress call instead. “Let’s go.” Said Blissey, quickly following the sound.

Gary had punched Ash in the face and was screaming at him when Professor Oak and Delilah appeared. “Gary, stop it.” Said Professor Oak, restraining him. Delilah looked at Ash. “He’d be just like my baby if he had black hair and brown eyes.” She said. “Gary, please stop hurting him. Please.” Tears formed in Ash’s eyes as he recognized Delilah’s voice. But he couldn’t tell her!

Ash opened his eyes and saw Delilah. “Mom…” he whispered, before shaking his head and closing his eyes. * No, I can’t say it, for the sake of Pallet and for the sake of my family. I wish they could just leave me alone! * Just then, Gary and Professor Oak were knocked over by rampaging pokémon. Espeon appeared and leaped onto Ash, and let out a cry of “Teleport!” Then, they disappeared and reappeared in the Rocket Headquarters.

When the two Oaks and Delilah came to, there was no sign of Ash. They had lost their big chance to try and find him. Or had they?

“Thanks Espeon.” Said Ash as he poured Hyper Potion over his wounds. That Gary Oak had attacked him without warning. Why? He did not know, but he did know that he was going to make Gary pay. Just then, Jessie and James walked in, followed by Meowth. “Hi kid. The boss wanted us to make sure you were okay before we get our next assignment.” Said Jessie. “I’m ready.” Said Ash as he changed back into his white uniform.

“So you would like to get revenge on Gary Oak?” asked the boss. “Yes sir.” Said Ash. “His pokémon are all rather high level, from what I’ve seen.” “Very well then. Go ahead and steal them.” “Yes sir.” Said Ash, his expression looking positively gleeful as he picked up Pikachu. “Let’s go and get out teammates.” Pikachu and Ash left.

Gary Oak was sure that Ash whatever his name was, was not normal. Just then, he heard a rustling in the bushes. “Who’s there?” he asked, one hand reaching for his poke balls.

“Team Rocket! You stole my pokémon six months ago! I’m going to make you pay!” said Gary. “Nidoking, Arcanine, Pidgeot, Alakazam, Rhydon, Gyrados, go!” “A Gyrados? Oh no.” said James, turning very pale. “Shut up James! Arbok, Wheezing, Lickitung, Victreebell, Growlithe, and Venomoth, go!” Jessie and James both sent out there pokémon. It seemed like Gary’s pokémon were gaining the upper hand, when a figure suddenly jumped out of a tree.

“Espeon, Umbreon, Flareon, Vaporeon, Elementeon, and Jolteon, go!” shouted a voice. The six Eevee evolutions materialized and all attacked Gary’s pokémon. Within minutes, All of Gary’s pokémon had fainted. “Who-who are you?” asked Gary. Ash jumped out of the tree and pulled out another poke ball. “Togepi, use your Thunder wave!” he said. Gary was paralyzed. He watched in horror as Ash threw out six poke balls and captured all of his pokémon. Then, he blacked out.

When Gary awoke, he was lying inside a dirty cell. “Where am I?” he asked. The door opened, revealing a redheaded girl in a TR uniform. “You’re currently in the hands of Team Rocket.” Said Jessie, grinning at Gary’s obvious discomfort. “What?! Team Rocket! Why you!” Jessie put down a tray with bread and water on it and exited the cell before Gary could ask any questions.

“My pokémon are all gone…” said Gary, thinking of his beloved pokémon. “What will I do now?” He sat down and chewed on a piece of bread while he tried to figure out an escape plan. Unfortunately, he was too distracted to think properly and soon had to abandon the idea. After a while, he finally fell asleep.

The next day, Gary was sitting on the cot when three white-uniformed elite members appeared. “We’re taking you to see the boss.” Said one, who had lavender hair and green eyes. “Yeah. He seems to think you might make a good addition to the team, although my opinion is that you’re a rotten trainer.” Said another one, who had white hair and green eyes.

* White hair and green eyes…the person who stole my pokémon! And he’s also the person who won the Indigo League Championships! What is he doing in Team Rocket?! * Gary startled everyone by leaping up and trying to kick Ash. Ash flipped into the air and shot a beam of silver light from one hand, which stunned Gary. “I wouldn’t try that if I were you.” He said. Pikachu chattered angrily at Gary and used Thunder Wave to prevent any further movement.

They made it to Giovanni’s office without any more problems. When they got there, Gary was un-paralyzed. He immediately tried to attack Giovanni, but Persian jumped out and used Fury Swipes, slashing him across the face. “OW!” screeched Gary. “Okay Persian, you can stop attacking him now.” Said Giovanni.

“What do you want?” said Gary, looking very annoyed. “I have a proposal to make.” Said Giovanni. “NO way! I’m not going to make any deals with Team Rocket!” said Gary. Giovanni grinned as Ash stepped forward. “You’d better listen to what he has to say first.” Said Ash, “Or else Pikachu here will Thunder wave you again.” “Oh all right.” Said Gary.

“I’ve heard rumors that Professor Oak has found a poke ball that is more powerful than any poke ball ever created, the GS ball.” Said Giovanni. “Yeah? So what.” Said Gary. “If you get the instructions for creating it, then we will return your pokémon. Otherwise…” Giovanni trailed off, looking at Gary with a carefully calculated degree of danger in his eyes.

“Oh, it’s easy. All you need is to find a GS apricorn, and take it to Kurt in Azalea. But GS apricorns only grow on one tree, and that tree is guarded day and night.” Said Gary. “Now can I have my pokémon back?”

“Do you think I’m stupid?” said Giovanni. “First we have to make sure that you are telling the truth. Very well. Where is the GS apricorn tree?” “In the Ilex Forest, next to the shrine honoring the protector.” Said Gary. “In that case, you will personally go to the Ilex forest and come back with an apricorn.” Said Giovanni.

“What?!” shouted Gary. “Ash will accompany you, to make sure you won’t be able to do anything or run off.” Said Giovanni. “And if you fail…, then you will be executed.” Gary shuddered. “You will leave tomorrow. You will be given one pokémon and two escape ropes, in case anything happens.” “All right.” Said Gary, feeling decidedly ill.

The next day, Ash and Gary headed for Ilex forest. Ash’s white hair had turned blond and spiky, instead of being white and silky. Gary didn’t know how that had happened, but he didn’t press it. In one hand Gary held a poke ball with a Hypno in it. He hoped that it would be useful…

Ash had replaced his uniform with a black jumpsuit, covered by a black cloak. He looked like a poke maniac. Around his waist hung a poke belt. On his backpack sat a Togepi, and a Pikachu walked by his side. He seemed totally unconcerned. Finally, Gary asked him why.

“The boss would never kill me. I have too much power and too many pokémon. Besides, I’m no good to him if I’m dead.” Said Ash. “You, on the other hand, are nearly worthless.” “What?!” shouted Gary. Ash didn’t say anything. “We’re getting close to Ilex forest.” He said. “Pidgeot, you can start diving now.”

Pidgeotto nodded as it dove towards the ground at alarming speed. They landed in a tree. Ash pulled two more poke balls out and released a Parasect and a Paras. “You two guard the area. If you see any other humans, use Spore.” Said Ash. The two bugs nodded as they scuttled off. “Pidgeot, return. Umbreon, I choose you.” Said Ash. The dark type materialized and led the way through the trees.

After a while, Umbreon pricked his ears up and motioned. There, in the middle of a grove of trees, next to the shrine honoring the protector, was the GS apricorn tree. “Excellent.” Said Ash, as he opened another poke ball and produced a Haunter. “Haunter, cloak us in shadows.” He said. Haunter complied. Ash and Gary quietly snuck towards the tree.

Just then, Gary screamed. “Are you trying to get us killed?” said Ash, hissing in a whisper. Gary screamed again. Ash’s eyes turned gold as he picked Gary up and threw him into the shrine. “Sneasal, keep an eye on him. If he screams again, kill him.” Said Ash.

Ash walked towards the tree. Seeing the apricorns, he quickly collected several of them and put them inside his backpack. When the tree was nearly picked clean, Ash went back to find Gary. He found Sneasal with her claws against Gary’s throat, ready to slash him.

“Good. Sneasal, Umbreon, Paras, Parasect, return.” Said Ash. “Fearow, I choose you. Let’s get out of here.” Fearow picked up Ash and grabbed Gary with her beak. Then, they left the Ilex forest.

When Ash and Gary arrived at the Headquarters, Gary was covered with bruises from being slammed into trees. Ash’s golden spiky hair had changed back into his silky white hair. He removed his sunglasses and went into Giovanni’s office, dragging Gary after him. Giovanni looked at them.

“So your mission was successful?” he asked. “Yes sir.” Said Ash. “However, Gary Oak was no help at all. Instead, he attempted to alert the guards by screaming at the top of his lungs.” Gary stiffened and looked down. Giovanni looked very displeased, as he pulled a bell cord and summoned Jessie and James.

“Yes sir?” they asked, walking into the room and bowing. “Take this piece of filth out of here.” Said Giovanni, indicating Gary with his foot. “Yes sir!” said Jessie and James, as they dragged Gary into a holding cell. “I’ve got an idea.” Said Ash. “We will keep him here as a hostage until Professor Oak agrees to work for team rocket.”

“That is an excellent idea.” Said Giovanni, summoning several Rocket Grunts to keep an eye on Gary. “Very well. Ash, you have done a good job. Your next assignment will be to capture this pokémon.” Giovanni handed Ash a photograph with a red-gold bird that looked sort of like Moltres on it.

Jessie and James were sent on a different assignment. They were to bear Giovanni’s message to Professor Oak. They headed to Pallet Town, armed with poke balls and semiautomatic rifles.

Ash rode Rapidash through the pouring rain. Ash had taught Rapidash resistance to water, so the pouring rain wouldn’t harm it. However, Ash was highly doubtful that the pokémon would be outside in this weather, especially if it was a fire type. Ash looked at the photograph carefully, before opening his backpack and removing a black pokédex. “ Phoenix. The legendary fire/electric type pokémon. It is rumored to be related to Moltres and Zapdos, but there is no positive proof.”

“Let’s see. It’s supposed to be near Mahogany Town right now.” Said Ash. “We should be there soon.” Near Mahogany town, Ash spotted a number of caves. “It’s probably hiding in here.” Said Ash. “Pikachu, I choose you. Use your Flash to light up this cave.” Pikachu obeyed. Soon, the cave was bathed in light.

Ash and Pikachu explored the cave for hours, but could not find Phoenix anywhere. Finally, Ash and Pikachu got tired, so he set up camp. This pattern continued for three days until Ash finally spotted Phoenix as it was flying overhead. “There it is.” Said Ash. Reaching for a poke ball, he whispered, “Moltres, go.”

Moltres appeared and saw its rival, Phoenix. With a cry, it attacked. Phoenix barely had time to attack before it was hit with a Hydro Flare attack. Caught by surprise, the drenched pokémon fell towards the ground. Just then, it was hit by a Master Ball and sucked inside.

“All right!” said Ash, holding up his fingers in the peace sign, which was mirrored by Pikachu. “I caught Phoenix! I guess we can go now.” Pikachu nodded in agreement as the left the caves. “Espeon, let’s go!” said Ash. Espeon nodded and they teleported away.

Meanwhile, Jessie and James had gone to Professor Oak and demanded that he work for Team Rocket. He had refused, so they were heading back to TR headquarters feeling disappointed. “Well, I guess we can get rid of the hostage then.” Said Jessie. “The boss is going to be really mad” Said Meowth. “Oh well, there’s nothing we can do about it. I guess we should get back to headquarters then.”

Ash was sitting in the waiting room of the pokémon center. He had taken Phoenix to nurse Joy to be healed, and she was currently taking care of it. After a few minutes, Nurse Joy bustled out with the ball containing Phoenix. “Thanks.” Said Ash as he picked up the ball and left.

Ash took a look in the lab, where Kurt was currently making GS balls. He smiled faintly. Just then, there was a commotion. Ash turned around to see Jessie and James dragging Gary Oak off to goodness knows where. “Hi!” said Ash cheerfully. Jessie and James waved, but they didn’t look very happy. “The professor refused to work for us, so we’re getting rid of Gary.” Said James. Ash sighed. “Well, everyone’s got to do what they have to, right?”

Gary screamed and yelled as he was led off to the execution room. A few minutes later, screams were heard. Ash blinked as Jessie and James walked out a minute later, followed by Meowth, who looked a bit regretful. “I wish we didn’t have to kill him, but you know, Boss’ orders.” Said Jessie. “Yeah.” Said James.

“I wonder what our next mission is.” Said Ash. “Let’s go ask the boss.” Said James, seconded by Meowth. “Okay. But I hope we don’t have to try and capture a Pikachu again. That would be really bad.” The quartet headed off to the boss’ office. The secretary announced them and they walked in a few minutes later.

“I see that Gary Oak has been eliminated. Well, that was inevitable, you know, since we promised Professor Oak that we would get rid of Gary if necessary. Anyways, your next assignment is to steal this pokémon.” Professor Oak held up a picture. It showed a boy with black hair in a pink headband standing next to a magnificent Scyther. “Ah.” Said James. Jessie whacked him with her fan. “Yes, sir.” She said. “Good. You are excused.” Said Giovanni. The trio (not counting Meowth) left the office.

“Hmm. A Scyther, hmm? Bug types should be weak against ice, as are flying types. Vaporeon can probably take care of it.” Said Ash. “Let’s go! He’s supposed to be in the Orange Islands. He’s not a pokémon trainer, from what I’ve heard. He calls himself a pokémon watcher. And he only has three pokémon.” “OH.” Said James. “Come on you nitwit, help me get the balloon ready!” said Jessie. James went to help Jessie as Ash picked up Pikachu.

Soon, they were soaring over the Orange Islands in their balloon. “Target sighted.” Said Meowth, peering through his binoculars. “Prepare to land.” Said Ash as he opened a poke ball containing Pidgeot. “Pidgeot, help us land.” Pidgeot grabbed the ropes on the balloon and dragged them down towards the ground.

Tracey was walking through the woods when he heard a crash. A minute later, a Pikachu ran out of the bushes and shook itself. Then, a boy with white hair came out, chasing the Pikachu. “Pikachu, come back here!” he said. “It’s not my fault that you got sick when Pidgeotto landed too fast, come back!” The Pikachu hesitated for a split second before jumping into the boy’s arms.

“Hi.” Said Tracey. “Hi. I’m Ash, and I want to be the world’s greatest pokémon master!” said Ash. “Hi, I’m Tracey, a pokémon watcher.” “Do you want to battle?” asked Ash. “Okay. Marril, go!” “Jolteon, go! Swift combined with Thundershock!” Jolteon leaped up and finished off Marril in one hit. “Wow. You’re pretty good. Venonat, go!” The bug pokémon appeared and confused Jolteon, so Ash recalled it.

“Espeon, I choose you!” Espeon materialized and psybeamed the Venonat, fainting it. “Venonat, return! Scyther, go!” said Tracey. “Espeon, use Shadow Ball!” Espeon did, and Scyther fainted also. Tracey stared in abject shock.

Just then, two figures jumped out of a tree.

“Team Rocket!” said Tracey, backing away in fear. He failed to notice that Ash had stowed Scyther away in a Master Ball. * Oh no, what am I going to do? * he thought frantically. “Help! Somebody help!” Tracey was backing away when Team Rocket suddenly ran off. “Huh? Why didn’t they try to steal my pokémon?” Tracey looked surprised, but decided that he was lucky, so he picked up his poke balls and continued on his way.

“I got it.” Said Ash, showing Jessie and James a fainted Scyther inside a poke ball. “Okay.” Said Jessie. “The boss will be pleased. We haven’t failed any missions so far. We should be promoted soon.” The three rockets went into the balloon and headed off to headquarters, leaving a very confused Tracey behind.

Of course, Tracey found out the ruse when he saw that his poke ball contained a Lv.3 Rattata.

Unknown to Ash, Misty had escaped from Juvenile Hall and was desperate to get revenge on him, but she couldn’t find him anywhere. She had seen the League Champion Ash, but it was a totally different person. So it wouldn’t do any good. Misty was considering joining Team Rocket to catch Ash’s Pikachu, and get revenge on him. She decided to go find Giovanni.

Giovanni was a bit surprised when he saw Misty in his office. “Yes?” he asked. “What do you want?” “I want to join your cause.” Said Misty. “Excuse me?” said Giovanni. “I know that you run Team Rocket. I’m here for a personal reason. I want you to steal Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu.” “I fear that that is impossible.” Said Giovanni. “You’ll find out why soon.”

Misty looked confused. * What’s he talking about? Why won’t he accept my money? It seems so peculiar. Why? * Just then, she saw Giovanni pick up his phone. “Who’s this? Ash? Oh yes, you’ve captured Scyther already? Well, I expect you to be here within four hours.” Giovanni hung up.

“Ash?” said Misty. Giovanni shrugged. “He’s one of our top agents. He and his partners are going to be promoted to gold level soon.” Misty blinked and looked blank. Giovanni shrugged. “Rocket order goes in this color scheme; black, gray, white, and gold. Ash and his partners are currently on white level, but I’m going to promote them.”

“Oh.” Said Misty. She sat in the office and waited while she read a book. Finally, Giovanni’s secretary came in. “Sir, Team White Pikachu is here.”  * Team white Pikachu? * Thought Misty. Ash, Jessie, and James came in. Misty recognized Ash as the League Champion, but she didn’t know he was Ash Ketchum.

“Boss, we’ve got Scyther.” Said James, holding out the Master Ball. “Good. You may have a vacation.” Said Giovanni. Ash, Pikachu, Jessie, James, and Meowth all cheered. “Yeah! Let’s go to Cinnabar! They have a great resort there.” Said Ash. “Sounds great! We’d better start packing.” Said Jessie. James just smiled goofily. Meowth and Pikachu went off the get food.

“That was Ash?” asked Misty. “The Indigo League Champion is a member of Team Rocket?!” “Yes. But he doesn’t openly attack anymore. Jessie and James do it. He usually challenges the trainer to weaken their pokémon, and then Jessie and James jump out and steal it. It’s a rather convenient method.  Otherwise, he changes his appearance. But since I’ve already told you all of this, the consequences will be most severe if you betray us. Is that clear?”

“Yes, sir.” Said Misty. “But why can’t you steal Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu?” Giovanni Sweat dropped. “Because, Ash is the person you just saw. You know, the one with white hair and green eyes?” Misty opened her mouth but no sound came out. She gulped before staring with big eyes. “Ash joined Team Rocket?!”
“Yes. It was sort of a threat, at first, but then he adapted.” Said Giovanni. “So now you can see why we can not possibly steal his Pikachu, since we don’t steal from our own members. Good-bye now. Unless there is something else you need us to do? Provided that you pay in advance, of course.”
Misty shook her head and left.

Ash and Pikachu happily splashed in the water on Cinnabar’s beach. Just then, Misty passed by. Ash quickly replaced his sunglasses. Misty was too busy looking at the ground, so she didn’t notice him. Ash breathed a sigh of relief as she left. His white hair altered and turned into dark blue waves that hung to his shoulders. Pikachu noticed the change and chirped.

“Yeah, Pikachu, I know you’re not used to it, but I need a disguise for now.” Said Ash. Pikachu quieted down and ran towards the beach to play with Squirtle and Vaporeon. All of Ash’s pokémon were frolicking on the beach, making it very crowded. Arbok, Lickitung, and Vileplume were playing tag, Victreebell was not trying to eat James for once, and Wheezing and Growlithe were running around.

Ash was settling down for a nap when he spotted a dark shape in the water. It looked like a Gyrados. * I don’t have a Gyrados yet…* he thought as he reached for a spare poke ball. “Pikachu, can you go and check if there really is a Gyrados down there? Pikachu complied and nodded. “Okay. Lapras, fire your ice beam at it!” Caught by surprise, the Gyrados was frozen solid and easily captured.

“Great! Now I have a Gyrados!” said Ash excitedly. He did his V for victory sign as Jessie and James sighed. Then, the surface of the water broke as a Dewgong surfaced. “A Dewgong! They’re worth a lot of money!” said James. “Let’s capture it! The boss will be pleased.” Said Jessie. “Vileplume, go! Use your Stun Spore!” Dewgong was paralyzed as James sent out Wheezing to smog it so it couldn’t see anything. “Now Explosion!” A minute later, a fainted Dewgong was floating on the surface. “Poke ball go!” said Jessie, throwing it out.

“A Dewgong!” said Ash. “You two are pretty good at capturing pokémon after all.” James grinned sheepishly as Jessie looked proud. Just then, the phone rang. Ash picked it up. “Yes? Really? You’re not kidding? OH my!” Ash hung up a minute later and whooped. “We’ve been promoted to gold level!”

“Yes!” shouted Jessie and James, throwing their arms around each other. Ash grinned. “Isn’t it perfect? Plus, we still have a week of vacation.”

The week passed quickly. Soon, it was time to leave.

Ash stood resplendent in his new golden uniform, with a flowing black cape and vest, a red “R” prominently displayed on the vest. Jessie had a gold long sleeved top and miniskirt, with a red “R” on the top. She also wore long black boots and gloves. James had an outfit similar to Ash’s but he didn’t have the cape and vest. His “R” was on his shirt.

Pikachu squeaked as she adjusted the red collar around her neck. At the end hung a small red “R”. Meowth had the same collar. They were ready for whatever would come.

Giovanni studied his new gold agents with pride. Jessie and James had gone from being complete idiots to two of the strongest agents the Team had. And Ash? Ash had gone from being a Grunt to a gold agent in a very short time. Plus, he had captured so many rare pokémon. Giovanni could never understand how Ash could hold so many pokémon at once, but her never objected.

The next day…

Jessie fiddled with her makeup. James had asked her out on a date, and she was slightly nervous. * DO I like James? I don’t know. He seems so dense at times. But he’s also very sweet…*

James was solving this problem from his own point of view. * I know I’m in love with Jessie, but will she love me back? I mean, she’s always saying how stupid and unreliable I am… *

Ash could feel the anxiety from his teammates, but he was sure that their date would be successful.

Later that night…

Jessie was awakened from her daydreams by the sound of knocking on her door. Turning, she saw James there, looking slightly nervous. “Hi, Jess.” He said, holding out a single red rose. “Are you ready for out date?” “Um, yes, just let me grab my purse.” Said Jessie, nervously reaching for the red leather handbag.

James led Jessie down the road to a fancy Italian restaurant, where a table was waiting. “Hello.” Said the waiter. “What would you like for dinner tonight, seňorita and senor?” asked the waiter. “Oh, I would like a Cinnabar Volcano Chili Supreme to start out with, plus an order of Shellder soup.” Said Jessie. “A green salad and a Farfetch’d chicken soup for me.” said James.

The waiter brought their food while the two ate in silence. James was just working up courage to tell Jessie that he liked her when the wall suddenly blew in. “What the f***!” shouted James. Jessie got up quickly, reaching for her poke balls. When the dust cleared, the silhouette of a girl could be seen.

“Who the h*** is that?!” asked Jessie. A cold laugh was the only answer. A spotlight appeared and shone on a scrawny brat with red hair, flanked by a Togepi, a Starmie, and a Seadra. It took James and Jessie a full minute before they realized whom it was.

“It’s the twerp’s ex-girl friend!” shouted Jessie. Misty laughed. “Team Rocket…you stole Ash away from me. And I’m going to make you pay!” she laughed insanely as Togepi, Starmie, and Seadra charged the rockets. Jessie and James decided that caution was not a vital factor in this situation, so they threw out their poke balls. Wheezing, Vileplume, Arbok, Lickitung, Growlithe, and Victreebell popped out. Victreebell and Vileplume let off twin razor leaf attacks, while Arbok licked Starmie, paralyzing it, and Growlithe roasted Togepi with a carefully aimed Flamethrower attack.

However, Misty quickly threw out two more pokémon-Dewgong and Psyduck. Dewgong froze Vileplume solid in a block of ice, while Psyduck psychiced Victreebell. James cursed and told Wheezing to smog all of them. However, Togepi used Metronome Gust, which blew the fog away. Then, Seadra charged Jessie and knocked her into a pile of rubble.

“Jessie!” shouted James, abandoning his calm pretext. “ Growlithe, Fire Blast the Psyduck! Arbok, wrap the Togepi! Wheezing, Poison Gas Dewgong! Lickitung, finish off Seadra with Supersonic!” The four pokémon obeyed and attacked Misty’s pokémon viciously while James ran over to check on Jessie.

“Jessie! Are you okay?” asked James worriedly. Jessie moaned. “I think I broke my ribs.” She whispered. “James…” Just then, Misty threw a bomb at the two of them. James noticed in time and jumped up, protecting Jessie. Jessie stared. James had saved her? James looked at Jessie and mouthed, “I love you” before he passed out.

Jessie was furious at Misty. She would make her pay for hurting James! Jessie’s eyes turned red as searing heat wrapped around her. “What the?” asked Misty. When Jessie emerged, she had flaming hair and wings plus a long tail. “Fire Blast!” yelled Jessie, attacking Misty and burning her to a crisp. Then, Jessie grabbed James and ran off.

James woke up to see Jessie standing over him. “Where am I?” he asked hoarsely. “Shh. You’re in the underground TR hospital. You were really badly hurt when she threw the bomb at you.” Said Jessie. James rubbed his eyes and looked at Jessie. “You look different. But it’s really pretty.” Said James. Jessie blushed a little. “Um James, I’ve been meaning to ask you…what did you say before you fainted?”

James turned pale. “Er, um, I said that I, I, loved you.” He managed to force out before bracing himself for a whacking. However, James was surprised when Jessie kissed him. “Jessie?” “Oh you silly goose, of course I love you! I’ve been waiting for you to say that you love me for years!” shouted Jessie. “I evolved just to save you!”

When Ash peeked in hours later, he saw the two of them talking and giggling. Ash smiled.

Okay, end of part 2! Review! Review! Review! Review! Anyways, I made Jessie a pokémon since I thought it would fit nicely. :)
