The gameplay of Chimera Report was awesome, aside from the best CBS up to date, there were almost no flaws. Your a special agent on a mission to investigate, the story is pretty well developed, there are few commands you can do, such as running. The CBS, like said, was just great: You can choose to fight with a fist or a plasma gun, later in the game, you will find various types of weapon. The game was small, didn't take me long to finish and I found some very intresting puzzles. Leveling was boring though, there is almost no RPG in leveling in CR, and I would rather call this a platform game. The graphcis were also graet in CR, some fresh facesets and charsets, the chip set was put in place well, and was pleasant just to walk around. The monster graphics were RTP, but Dguy spend enough time to link the graphic with the events, so I gotta give em some credits. Various midi were used for CR, but I found most battle was RTP, sound how ever, were put together perfect, mostly for guns, but even the rest were pleasant to listen to, this area diserves perfect. The character in CR weren't portrayed that well, they seemed like an ordinary RPG hero. Text was used very well, And I found no spelling errors what so ever in the dialogue, so no complains here. No minigames but I don't think tha game needs it anyways, everything else was put together well. The only items useful was the weapons, and they are extremely hard to find. Names are dumb, personally I have nothing against Dguy, but why naming the main hero Dguy? Rating: Great Game Overall I found Chimera Report an intresting game, although short but it was fun, try this game sometimes if you are bored and looking for a change to FF series. |
