Former Barrel Horse SOLD

Troys CoCo:  1990 15 hand AQHA gelding.   Easy to handle and ride.  Light mouth and good neckrein.  Has also been used for poles.  Willing to work.  Super easy to groom, load, haul, etc.   He has had annual chiropractic adjustments for maintenance.  Probably not for a total beginning rider but if a person has rode some, they will totally enjoy him.  Phone 701-226-6755 for info.

BEAR - 2006 AQHA gelding.  COWHORSE prospect!

Not sure what color he wants to be - bay/brown with white hairs (roan/gray??) and also has a stripe down his back.  Not going to be very tall but big in the brains department.  His ranch horse sire is an own son of
Colonel Dickens out of a daughter of Son O Sugar (NCHA money earner).  His dam's side includes Flyaway Lynx and Blackburn breeding.

But the great thing about Bear is his great disposition.  He acts like an old horse he is so quiet and sensible.    He has an interest in cattle and enjoys going to work.  Just a joy to be around and train.  Once you know him you will love him.  This guy will be a great, ranch horse for a youth or anyone who doesn't want to be throwing a heavy saddle high in the air (or is tired of getting on a tall horse).
Heading Horse/Cow Horse - SOLD

Chichos Charge Bar - 1986 15.3 hand bay gelding.  This gem doesn't look or act anywhere near his age.  Big, stout guy with bone and muscle and a heart of gold.  Formerly used for heading.  Super easy to ride - no spook, no stupid stuff, just all business.  Loves nothing better than to be working cows.  It makes his day if they aren't well behaved and he gets to keep turning break-aways back.  Just make sure you hang on.   Also been used to pony youngsters.  Love him to death but he don't have enough cow work here for him to have his fun very often.   That is the only reason we'd part with him and only to the best of homes.
SOLD - Brick - 2005 ApHC Gelding

Full brother to very successful all-around horse.  If you love to hit the weekend shows, here's the guy for you.  Brick's sire, HardWorkinMan, can be seen on the stallion page.  His dam is an own daughter of The Upper Hand.

He loves slow and easy - shows potential already for the perfect rail/showmanship horse.   With just a few rides, Brick is just a breeze to work with.  He's been ridden in the open and takes everything in stride.  Been picking up the correct lead, giving his head and yielding his hips (will be sidepassing soon).  Also had no problems riding through the cow's feeding area (but don't count on him going fast enough to catch one - he'd prefer to just watch or trail behind).    He loads and hauls and has spent hours standing tied to learn patience.  This guy is a steal at $1150.  Will make deal to get him to a serious show home!

Thank you Doug/Lila Smith family.
