GALAXIAN
Made in 1979 by Midway, Galaxian is the very first game to have true RGB color graphics. All games made before this one were either plain B/W or B/W with a plastic or celophane screen overlay. Galaxian is not just a classic, but a true pioneer in its field.
Very nice all the way around, this Galaxian somehow managed to stay white. Many of the ones seen today are very dirty and many that had been in bars for extended periods of time have cigarette smoke residue on them. That is not the case here. This is a great looking machine. Side art looks very nice, and very complete. Unfortunately the front panel art has been kicked more than its fair share and has lost a lot of paint. That is the only part of the game that doesnt look great.

The game's monitor is a Wells Gardner 4600. It has a very bright beautiful picture. I have not installed a cap kit in this monitor but it looks great. I didnt check on the chassis boards to see if the capactiors looked new or not. Either it has had a kit recently or it wasnt used very much. The screen has very little burn on it. When I first powered up the cabinet, I wasnt sure if I was going to have a good monitor or not but I couldnt have got a better one.
I got this Galaxian on 12/11/02. I traded a Donkey Kong for it and a nice Gorf. Sweet deal!
