| I got this machine as a Boardwalk Casino, which is a re-game kit for Pacman hardware. I tried to remove the white paint on the sides but had limited success. I was never satisfied with it. I got a very nice looking Pacman and soon found myself with 2 working copies of Pacman. The ugly one (shown here) was sacrificed to yield a large pile of useful parts. The logic board was sold for $50 and a working Vs. Excitebike. The wiring harness, power supply, control panel, and monitor are going to make a nice test set when I start repairing Pacman boards for fun and profit. The glass will serve as backup in case some tragedy should befall the one in my good Pac. The marquee will end up in my marquee collection (pile on my nightstand). While never being fully restored to its former glory, it did get to re-live 5 months of its former life as a Pacman. Getting this cabinet and attempting to fix it up was the begining of my realization of a life long dream of owning a Pacman. This cabinet will be missed. It currently resides on the burn pile on my boss' farm with 2 disfigured brothers and various other junked cabinets to keep it company. I did not want to do this but the game would not have brought enough money for me to recover the cost of my attempted restoration, its parts will better serve me this way. |
