Character Model: Didier Cohen

Name: Nicholas ‘Nick’ Fielding
Race: werejaguar
Age: 26
Occupation: security specialist for Lionheart Security Corp. (aka soldier for hire)
Position: alpha

Height/Weight: 5’10” / 180 lbs.
Eyes/Hair: blue / dark brown, almost black
General Appearance: Nick is handsome in that ‘devil may care’ way. His hair is always in need of being cut and he has a perpetual shadow of scruff along his jaw. Not being one to worry too deeply about his appearance, he’s normally dressed in whatever is clean and rarely matches. Jeans, tee-shirts, hoodies and boots are the staples in his wardrobe and he has many of each in varying colors. Nick doesn’t dress up ever. He’s in good shape but doesn’t do much in his downtime to keep himself that way. He’s muscular, but not overly burly, built more for speed and agility than brute strength. He also has his entire right arm tattooed, from shoulder to wrist and the word ‘courage’ tattooed down his spine.
Shifted Appearance: Nick looks like your standard jaguar with a yellow coat and large, rich rosettes. His belly and the underside of his neck is white and his eyes are gold. He's burly and stocky compared to his sister and the more slender leopards.

Personality: Nick’s typical way of thinking is that if it isn’t broken, then don’t fix it. He’s normally rather jovial and has a lighthearted, easy going way about him. He likes to joke, tease and generally be a pain in the ass and once a woman catches his attention, he’ll persist until he wins her over. His occasionally crude way of speaking and blatant lack of respect for authority paints the typical picture that he’s a street punk looking to prove something but really it’s just an overinflated ego. He’s dangerous, handsome and charming and he knows it.
Nick is very materialistic and spends his money almost before it reaches his bank account; luckily, when business is good he has plenty of it to spare. He lacks any qualms when it comes to selling his skills for money. If there’s a check waiting for him, he’ll do just about anything.
His financial status is directly dependant on how many jobs he’s getting and if things are slow, then he barely has two nickels to rub together but when he’s busy he won’t think twice of dropping ten grand on sports betting or buying a new car on a whim.
His horrible credit only proves how irresponsible he is with money.

History: Born January 13, 1982, Nicholas was the younger twin, with his sister Shylene born less than five minutes before him. The two had a normal childhood, up until the tragic death of their parents when he and Shylene were eight years old.
Left alone and without any close family, the two were put into foster care in separate homes. They continued to see each other every weekend but it was soon clear that Nick’s home life was drastically different than his sister’s. He suffered a great deal of emotional abuse at the hands of his foster parents and, being the only foster child in their home, was constantly treated as less than equal to their biological children.
At the age of eleven, Nicholas began acting out. It started at school, where he attempted to get attention by being the class clown; when that didn’t work, he started picking fights. His teenage years were one battle after the next with his foster parents and they finally had him arrested after he started a fistfight with his foster father.
Being under eighteen, Nick got nothing more than a slap on the wrist, but when this made no impact on his behavior they finally sent him away to military academy.
Though he excelled, Nick hated the military and his attitude was a constant problem. It wasn’t long after that Nick began hearing rumors about a private military company who was looking for more bodies. They would take ex-military providing the solider left with an honorable discharge. That was all Nick needed to hear and soon enough he was devising a plan to escape the military. He began eating non-stop and quickly gained an extra thirty pounds, resulting in the honorable discharge he’d been aiming for.
Now at the age of 21 and free of Uncle Sam’s hold on him, Nick sent in his resume and after a quick interview process became a security specialist for Lionheart Security Corp.
He was in Kuwait on a mission when he got a phone call from his sister. Shylene told him that she had survived an attack by a rogue shapeshifter but her fiancé hadn’t. Overwrought with anger at his sister’s situation, Nick hunted down the jaguar that had infected his twin and after a struggle, managed to put a bullet between its eyes. He didn’t come away unscathed though, in fact, he ended up with a case of lycanthropy to match his sister’s. Taking a six month leave of absence from work, Nick took the time to come to terms with his newfound abilities and found that it only enhanced his already innate skills. He began taking every job offer that was laid out before him and quickly rose in the company. He teamed up with two other shapeshifters and the three of them began working through missions together, tearing through the competition without looking back. It’s been five years since he joined Lionheart and Nick wouldn’t trade his job for all the money in the world . . . well, maybe he would.
When the shifter plague hit in early 2006, Nick was in Germany and luckily, wasn’t touched by the sickness. Back home though, the city was being decimated. Shylene kept him informed while he waited it out and finally the outbreaks became fewer and he returned home to find the city's preternatural community in shambles.

Strengths: he thinks fast on his feet, has basic field medical knowledge, extensive firearms knowledge and tactical experience. He’s an alpha jaguar with a lot of potential.
Weaknesses: has a bit of a gambling addiction, spends money as fast as he can earn it, loves to party and have a good time.
Other: owns quite a few guns (from 9mm handguns to pimped out assault rifles). He’s seen the world and he hates every other country aside from the US. In his opinion, there’s no better place to live and work than the good ol’ US of A.
