Appearance: James is toned, his skin naturally tan, and he usually wears a black leather jacket, t-shirt, trousers and black combat boots, and sunglasses.
Shifted Appearance: He’s pretty unremarkable, looking like a typical jaguar with dark spots, golden fur and yellow eyes.

Personality: James can seem a likeable guy, and is used to making good first impressions in general. However, he is ironic and unsympathetic, and his main passions in life aside from his job is fighting and shagging. It’s what makes you feel alive. The only people he will never go turncoat on is the Lionheart Corp. He does have a sense of self-preservation, and will literally walk over bodies to accomplish his missions or to simply get what he wants.
James isn’t monogamous. Ever. He prefers one-night-stands to relationships. He’s a bit jaded, and is extremely bad at showing any emotions beyond sass, anger and serenity. He also has a good vocabulary when it comes to swearing, and uses it often. He is quite brainy, and has developed his natural acting skill after joining Lionheart.

Family: John Smith (father, alive), Susan Dancing Deer Smith (mother, dead), John Smith Jr. (older brother, alive)

History: James was born to a mixed couple, his mother being an Oglala, and his father an all American. Growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, wasn’t too bad, he thought, and the first ten years of his life, he thought everyone’s mother was treated as a punchbag. Nothing weird about that. Then he realized that it was quite the opposite, but out of respect mingled with pure terror for his father, he never said a thing, nor did anyone else. His father never hit his children, but the threat was there, hanging in the air. Then, in the evening of James’s 16th birthday, he witnessed his father kill his mother and then hide the body. James never told this to anyone, not the police, not his friends, and certainly not his father. Soon after this incident, James starting experimenting with drugs, starting lightly with marihuana, but quickly moving on to heavier drugs. His father was never caught, and just looking at him made James nauseous.
He fell into life as a petty criminal; pick pocketing and occasionally burgling places with his mates. He was always in need of money for more drugs, and he didn’t care the times he got busted as long as he was allowed back on the street again. His life changed when he got busted after robbing an elderly woman. It was his third offense and the judge gave him the choice between jail and the military. James was 18 by now and entered the military with a sense of coming home at last. He liked the strict routines and soon showed talent in the handling of weapons. However, he did not have a high morale, was not fond of being ordered around and was just short of being labelled a troublemaker. However, he stayed in for three years before he was granted his wish to leave and try to make a life for himself. The reason for his leave-taking was simply that he had managed to get a botched serum against lycanthropy and had ended up infected instead of protected. He used a year on the outside to get complete control of his beast, compromising with his beast when he had to. Eventually he got a job as a cashier, so he was thrilled when he found that Lionheart Corp would take him on. He worked for the Wisconsin branch and got trained in the arts he needed to be a good security specialist. He soon discovered that he had a talent for acting and started using this during missions to dupe his targets into allowing him easy access. Getting good at computer intel took four years and he was still only tolerable, by far preferring using the network of eyes and ears that he managed to build during his missions. When he was 26 he met Nick Fielding for the first time while on a mission abroad. They got along, and James liked hanging out with the guy. Through the next few years they were sent together on international missions together more than once after it was discovered that they worked well together.
Lately, James started craving a change of scenery, and during a mission to Korea he decided it was time to move to Boston and see if the city really offered so good booze and so delicious ladies as Nick claimed. Not to mention that he had found out that Boston had a group of jaguars, and James had never even met a fellow were-jaguar before. It all made Boston a desirable destination.

Strengths: James is a typical street-fighter, with mainly self-learned knowledge and quick reflexes to help him out, and no sense of chivalry. He fights as dirty as needed and knows that everything can be a weapon. He is quite excellent with his gun, and is very good at dodging attacks. He’s brainy and knows how to act convincingly to get into heavily guarded places. He’s awesome at Sudoku. Weaknesses: He’s got a big ego and will be disposed to like anyone who admires him. He has a serious weakness for chocolate, and will be in a strop if anyone as much as touch his Harley without his permission. He can have a short temper and only Nick gets to call him Jimbo because of their long acquaintance.

Home: A shabby small flat in the dodgy part of Boston. The flat is cheap, with only two rooms, and looks like it hasn’t been redecorated since World War 2. The last owner left a lot of things behind, and James hasn’t bothered throwing them out. This makes him the proud owner of three pink and purple beanbag- chairs, a small rusty cauldron, a big bed and several photos of trees and bridges, decorating the walls. James is tidy, but not overly so.

Other: His most precious possession is his Harley Davidson, and he keeps it shiny and in top condition at all times. He carries a weapon at all times.
