Age / Birthdate: 11th August 1498 // 514
Occupation: Editor
Species/Status: Vampire // Master

Height/Weight: 5’11”
Eyes/Hair: Brown // Dirty blond and kept short
Appearance: Geoff has a very youthful face but his body is very solid with broad shoulders and he is decent height. He will normally be seen wearing tailored suits or jackets over jeans. He doesn’t really do ‘casual’, the most dressed down he will get is a loose shirt over a pair of comfortable but tailored trousers.
Shifted Appearance: N/A

Personality: Geoff is a follower and a servant; he is happiest when he has other people around him and someone to serve. He is very status conscious, he will happily follow whoever is in charge but he won’t listen to anyone of lower status than himself. He doesn’t show it much but he has a very cutting, dry sense of humour. Geoff is quite, obedient and has perfected the ability to be completely unnoticeable – people never seem to remember what he looks like or whether he was where he says he was. He tries to use this for good but sometimes he just likes screwing with people and seeing if he can persuade them that he was somewhere when he wasn’t.

Family: All his family is dead

History: Geoffrey was born to a poor landed gentry family in Hertfordshire. His father, Thomas, was the youngest of four sons and had only inherited a small house and some land. Geoff was the youngest of six children and so was not expected to inherit anything from his father. Thomas had plans for the three other sons; the eldest would inherit the house, the second would go into the clergy and the third would be trained as a soldier, Geoff was surplus. Geoffrey experienced much free time, he was expected to learn his letters and numbers but that was all, he spent most of his time just being a child.
When he was nine his father got rid of him by sending him to Court. Geoff was a Page boy for Henry VIII and was kept on by Henry in the first few years of his reign even though it was not normal. When he was thirteen Geoffrey became more of a personal servant than a Page boy. He was content in his position, the palace staff were more of a family to him than his flesh and blood and there was always something happening at Court.
When he was fifteen he became involved with a man at Court. This relationship lasted until Geoff’s death in 1517. He caught the ‘sweating sickness’ which was sweeping the country. When he was very near death his lover couldn’t accept his approaching death and used his money and influence to find an unsavorary apothecary that promised to cure Geoff of his disease. Geoff’s cure was being turned into a vampire by a rogue vampire who had been caught and imprisoned by the apothecary owner.
His lover visited him between his death and his awakening, he didn’t know Geoff was now a vampire but he knew something was wrong and ran away. Once he woke up the owner kicked him out of his shop without telling him what had happened. Geoff tried to return to the palace but was hurt by the sun and then when he approached the palace at night he scared several servants away who had been told he had died. Confused and betrayed Geoff retreated to the poorer area of London, he thought he could get a job there without anyone asking questions. It was only when he got hungry and killed someone that he figured out what he was.
Geoffrey was found by the London Kiss after he had a killing spree. They imprisoned him for a short time before deciding they take him in and teach him, they blamed his rampage on the bloodlust. They taught him how vampire lore and how to hunt without being found out, some of the more enlightened vampires even taught him how to drink without killing. Not that Geoff paid much attention to that, he rather liked the killing part and thought that half the people he fed off were better off dead.
Geoff stayed in London until the time of Cromwell where the hunts for his kind intensified. Geoff was still a fairly young and weak vampire and thought fleeing abroad would be easier. He left for France, he could only really speak French and English and wasn’t an adventurous kind of man, with a few other English vampires. He stayed there for about fifty years and during this time he had a disastrous relationship with a vampire and her human servant. It was after the third time they’d tried to kill each other that Geoff decided to leave. Instead of going home he went to travelled through Europe for another hundred years before finally setting in North America. He liked that everything was new and that no one knew him.

Strengths: He is a Master vampire but not a very powerful or exciting one. He has no real ambition. Can speak several different languages but can only read and write English.
Weaknesses: Geoff remained illiterate until around the 1850’s where he was taught to read and write in modern English because of this he has excellent grammatical skills and hates abbreviations and netspeak. He has a slight gambling and eBay addiction.

Home:

Other: Anything new fascinates him and he usually has the newest gadget or does the latest fad. He is currently doing yoga and pilates at a local gym.
