Personality: Efia is a very talkative and outgoing person. She’s normally a positive person, but if provoked, her mood can change easily. She doesn’t usually hold grudges for very long unless it concerns her family in any way. She’s a genuinely caring person and can sometimes get upset on other people’s behalf, taking their own problems to her. As a child she had a bit of a problem with getting too involved in other people’s problems and pain. But as she’s gotten older she has managed to work past most of that. She’s very close to her brother and still looks up to him a lot.
She has a big weak spot for kids and the biggest problem for her with being infected is never being able to have another child. Although she has worked through her grief over losing her daughter, she still thinks about her a lot and can get a bit down if she sees a girl she thinks looks like her.

History: Efia’s father was arrested and convicted of murder and began his lifetime stint in a maximum security penitentiary only a few months after Efia was born. Raised by her mother and partly by her older brother, Efia always looked up to Tank.
Efia was always a good student with visions of being something more than what she’d been born to, and although she did have her rocky times she eventually managed to graduate High School and get a scholarship to UCLA where she got a B.A. in Psychology. At age 22, she got a job as a secretary at a psychiatrist’s office. She enjoyed the job a lot and fairly quickly moved to the same position at a better place with a bigger pay.
At age 25, Efia got married to an old classmate she met at her high school reunion. Though their marriage had their ups and downs, it was generally a good one. When Efia was 27 she gave birth to a baby girl, Chloe. However, the baby died of sudden infant death syndrome at the age of 3 months. Efia and Chris were both devastated and though they helped each other through the pain of losing their daughter, their relationship never fully recovered from this loss. Chris wanted to have more children after this, but Efia wasn’t ready for several years. The fear of the same thing happening again was too great for her. Then, at age 33, she was infected by a wererat as she tried to break up a fight between two women on her way home from work. Turning to her brother first, whom she knew had been infected with the same strain of lycanthropy some years earlier, Efia worked up the courage to tell Chris about it. Their relationship had been growing slowly worse with her reluctance to have more children and when he found out she was a lycanthrope and could never have children again, Chris left her. Although she was saddened by his decision, it didn’t come as a complete surprise to Efia. Their divorce became final just after Efia’s 34th birthday. Needing a change from everything, she decided to move to Vermont to be closer to her brother and join his Clan. The change proved to be exactly what she needed and Efia slowly started to find peace again. When her brother got relocated to Boston, Efia decided to move there with him, having grown fond of being so close to him.
Strengths: she’s a positive and caring person. She has a strong sense of self and won’t let people get her down.
Weaknesses: She can get a bit too involved in other people’s lives sometimes (although she’ll back off quickly if told to), has a big weakness for children and not being able to have kids is a sensitive subject for her.
Home: she’s in the process of moving to Boston and is staying with Tank until she finds a place of her own.
Other: she has a locket she almost always wears around her neck with a picture of her daughter in it.
