Personality: Aishe is a naturally outgoing girl, the kind who smiles at everyone and loves to be social. Her gypsy upbringing is still a big part of her, but she’s torn between rebelling against the laws and adhering to them. Sometimes she might break the same law she adhered to the night before. Aishe loves to clean, and often clean every day. Counting things and making systems are also among things she enjoys. In fact, she has a phobia against impure things and filth. If she can’t clean, she usually counts and arranges whatever’s nearby as it calms her down and helps her to cope. She always carries with her a small box of anti-bacterial wipes, and her own mug. She’d never eat at a pub, and doesn’t trust that they clean the glasses well enough.
Public bathrooms…well let’s just say she has horrible nightmares about them.
At times she can become maudlin, feeling stagnant and missing her old life with a passion. She usually pulls through it quite well, but the odd moments of homesickness still happen.
Aishe lives and breathes for her dancing. She can handle her own sweat but has a bit of a problem rubbing bodies with someone else. She knows she’ll never get a job at a dance academy with this sort of phobia, but she has sworn to get a job as a dancer, any job.
Family: Lala Loveridge (Mother, alive), John Loveridge (father, alive), Flora Loveridge (elder sister, alive)
History: Aishe was born as the second child to Lala and John Loveridge. She was a precocious child, and turned to dance very soon. Her mother taught her steps, and she would suck in all new knowledge like a sponge. Her family travelled around with other people in caravans, and Aishe’s schooling was spotty and random at best. She knows the basics but has never cared for learning more.
Aishe was proud to be a gypsy, embracing the traditions and lifestyle rules without complaint, not even during her teenage years. Listening to the stories the others told and getting dance lessons from whomever knew something remained her favourite pastimes for a long time.
Her OCD started slowly to show when she was around 16 years old, and it got worse with time. Her family found it both annoying and slightly helpful to have her around as she kept the caravan tidy and clean at all times. By the time she was twenty; even Aishe was getting frustrated with this need to clean everything. She tried stopping, but every time she did she ended up with a conviction that she would die soon unless she started counting the stuff around her. Once she’d counted it three times, she was safe.
Her family stopped for a week not far outside Boston not long after Aishe’s twentieth birthday. In need of a new skirt, Aishe ventured into town with her family. However, she managed to get separated from them and was soon lost in the maze of buildings. Wandering helplessly around, she fell easy prey to a mugger. However, Aishe wasn’t about to let some upstart run off with her money so she fought back, jumping on her attacker the moment he turned his back to her.
It was hours later when she finally made it back to the caravans. Bloody, cut and bruised, she had been lucky to get away so lightly. But she had gotten the fright of her life when the mugger had changed shape and started scratching at her with his claws. Two days afterwards, a man came to the caravan. He talked with her parents for a long time, and when they were done, she was told that she was no longer pure. Horrified, Aishe demanded to know what made them say so, and they told her. The man who had arrived had been her attacker from the night before. It turned out his boss had heard of the attack and sent him to gather up the girl before she became a threat. He said he could sense the change in her already, her scent was different. Severely creeped out, Aishe appealed to her parents, begging them to let her stay, but it was no use and she was excluded.
During her time in her first pard, Aishe finally went through proper teenage rebellion. She would wash all her clothes together and relish it, knowing it was improper as trousers and panties should be washed separately. She learned when to be submissive and how to best avoid being touched without insulting anyone. However, after a year Aishe had enough of being in the same pard as the one who severed her from her family. Packing her things, she left for Boston after her leader had arranged everything for her.
Strengths: she’s got a diehard positive outlook on life, she’s determined and has a strong psyche. She’s able to take things in a stride. She’s fluent in English and Angloromani.
Weaknesses: Touch her, kiss her or hug her and she’s a mess. Separate her from any sort of soap and she will be of little use until she gets a hold of herself again. In sum, her OCD is her biggest weakness. Of course, she also has trouble controlling her beast completely, being pretty new at this. She has no sense of direction.
Other: She never touches people unless it’s needed, and she always cleans the seat of the chair she’s going to sit in. When she’s in need to count something, she has a bad habit of starting to count and make systems for whatever’s available.
