In the year 2009, the city of Boston Massachusetts had a thriving preternatural community. It seemed wherever you looked there was a shapeshifter run establishment, a werewolf walking down the street or a wereleopard serving you coffee.

One year later the entire shapeshifter community had been ravaged by disease. The seemingly invincible lycanthropes had been devastated, their numbers at an all time low as the plague swept across the country.
Just as quickly as it appeared, the plague seemed to have stopped, with the occasional incidences trickling
in from the West Coast. No one knows why some were affected and others, like the rats and vampires,
not touched at all...

Current happenings: Date - October 23, 2012

Time elapsed: three months
8:00 PM; 60 degrees Fahrenheit
Weather: A typical October day gave way to a brisk and breezy October night. Autumn has definitely arrived and the grounds of Boston Common are frequently covered with leaves as the trees prepare for the dormancy of winter.

With Frederick Mahon’s death, the serial killer hype has died down amongst the shifter population. The newspapers have released the information about Freddie and that he was working with a partner who has yet to be caught. Despite this, life has slowly returned to normal for the shapeshifters of Boston. RPIT and the Boston PD Chief had a hard time closing the case but because the barn and house were both burned down, there wasn’t much evidence for them to collect. They suspect that other lycanthropes had something to do with the entire thing, but without evidence they can’t prove anything. They’re still hoping to find some evidence to lead them to whoever the other killer was but since there haven’t been any deaths in three months, they’re convinced that he either lost his nerve to kill or has been arrested for another crime and is off the streets.
