La-Bas is a french phrase which translates to "OVER THERE". The song tells the story of a man who feels like an outsider in his own life and feels he must seek to leave or he will lose himself. The female voice pleads for him not to go for fear he will be lost to her and fall prey to the evils and dangers of the world. The video is shot in black and white film and was actually filmed in Mexico. It is a very "dark" video, where at the ending Corey is run down by a drunk driver and Julie, unable to stop this tragedy, runs to his side screaming. Julie is a remarkable actress. The realism in her performance sent a chill down my spine. I am very glad it was only a video...
JULIE MASSE's solo career--already famous for her French language albums--her first English language album"CIRCLE OF ONE" is released in 1994...
Julie Masse is well-known in her native province of Quebec where she has released many French language albums. Her first English language album "CIRCLE OF ONE" is well worth checking out. Her voice is beautiful as are the songs. The songs "One More Moment" and the cover of "Letting Go" both were released as singles off the album. COREY HART wrote and produced the first five tracks on the album. My personal favorite is the beautiful lovesong "ONE MORE MOMENT".

Julie's singing career temporarily on hold ...
Julie has taken a hiatus from her singing career to spend time raising her and Corey's three young daughters---India, Dante and River. She has not done any solo performances other than touring with Corey on his 1999 Jade tour. She went along as a member of the band -singing backup vocals. At the time she was pregnant carrying their third child River. She gave birth November 18/99.The girls travelled with mom and dad "on the road" during Corey's 1999 TOUR.
Seems Corey couldn't bear leaving them behind...
