Well--believe it or not--our Corey turns 38 years young today(May 31/2000)...
I guess good clean living DOES reflect on how we age...because Corey still looks pretty much the same as ever!!!

COREY MITCHELL HART was born May 31, 1962 in Montreal, Quebec(CANADA) to parents ROBERT and MINDY HART. COREY is the youngest of five children--he has three brothers named Stephen, Michael and Robbie and one sister named Donna. Although born in Montreal--Corey spent most of his childhood years in foreign countries such as Spain, Mexico and Florida(USA). His father--a prominent land-developer moved the family abroad often until finally they moved back to Montreal for good in the early 70's. His parents had separated by that time and his father never really played much of a role in his teen years.
Corey had pretty much forgotten his English and French,as he spoke mostly Spanish growing up. He did attend St. George's High School in Montreal until 1978--but his music was always foremost in his mind...
The following series of pictures were originally published in the HART-line Newsletter(volume 2, number 1) 1990 as a Pictorial Chronology of Corey's childhood. HART-line was the official COREY HART Fan Newsletter from 1988 until 1990. As they have not operated in many years, it must be assumed that the official copyright on these photographs belongs to the Hart family. I am reprinting them here as a birthday tribute to Corey, with his family's indulgence. I am hoping that those of you who missed seeing the old fan newsletters will truly enjoy these great pictures of Corey growing up...

You guys put out an incredible newsletter--and I am sure you must have many wonderful stories to tell of your days with HART-line. COREY shares a particularly close relationship with his older brother Robbie--who is closest in age to him.
Here is a picture of Corey with his big-brother Robbie taken all the way back in 1964. Corey was only 2 years old in this picture!!

TRIVIA FACT...
DID YOU KNOW??? that Corey penned a special song for his brother Robbie titled "MY BROTHER'S LEAVING TODAY". This song was released as a B-Side on the 45 single for "TAKE MY HEART". It never made it onto the "FIELDS OF FIRE" album--but I think it is one of Corey's best songs.

This photo is retouched from an original passport photo taken back in 1967. Corey's family moved to Spain in the latter part of the 60's--so I guess even young Corey needed a passport...

I guess this is what he was referring to when he grew his hair out long for the JADE album...
He remarked that he hadn't worn his hair long since he was a teenager!! And that it never got him any girls back then, either...
I think it might have had more to do with being shy--and less to do with the long hair!!! Corey--you're still cute as can be!!!
