Real Name: Kenneth Stockbridge Profession: Action Writer & Adventurer Height: 6'0" Weight: 190 lbs Eyes: Blue with copper flecks Hair: Neck-length black Age: 32 Powers: Doc Spider possess the normal human strength of a man who engages in intensive regular excercises. Over the years, he has gained an immunity to poisonous spider bites. Costume: Black bodysuit & crowl. Red gloves, boots & belt. Red spider on chest and forehead. Red holster. Equipment: "Venom" is a .15 caliber needle pistol based on the Webley .455 Automatic Mark I pistol. A variety of needles are used including ones filled with truth serum, hallucination drug, paralyzing drug & fast-acting poison which kills. Each magazine holds 300 needles and are color coded. "Spinner" is a modified XKEY-134 two-door sports car with several features including puncture-proof tires, armored body & shattered-proof windows. The car is black with red trim and interior. A large red spider symbol are on both doors. License plate reads "Doc Spider #1: Spinner."

Origins:
Kenneth Stockbridge was born at 7:41 pm in Ross, Maryland on May 14. His mother, Patricia, died while giving him birth. His father, Clark, was so distraught over his wife's death that he committed suicide six months after Kenneth was born. He was adopted by John Stockbridge, his father's older brother and his wife, Marilyn.

He was brought up as Catholic but never felt as if he belonged to any religion. Kenneth was an average student who excelled in sports. After graduating high school, he recieved a sports scholarship and attended Maryland University. After three years at the university, Kenneth enlisted in the Air Force Reserve where he left the service at age 31 after making Chief Warrant Officer.

During his years at the university, Kenneth found that he had the natural gift of writing action stories. He switched his majors from physical training to creative writing. Kenneth began writing a series for the school newspaper which featured a hero known as Sam Goliath. The works caught the attention of Moongem Publications, Inc. which soon hired him to write a series of novels. He moved to Dreamdale, International Free City which is an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The Sam Goliath series is still being published today worldwide & has reached 250 books.

Shortly after being hired by Moongem Publications, Inc., Kenneth fell in love with Lorna Velira, assistant editor. After a six months courtship, he asked her to marry him at their favorite cafe. Before Lorna could reply, a hail of bullets erupted which not only killed her but five other patrons of the cafe. Kenneth was emotionally angered & sought revenge on the street gang who fired the bullets.

Donning the costume of a character he had been working on, Kenneth found & brought in the gang that killed Lorna. Police were skeptical of his motivations at first but they soon warmed up to the masked vigilante known as Doc Spider.
