Charles Blue was born in Paris, Texas to a retired army major. When he turned 18, he volunteered for the U.S. Army. After basic training, Charles went into special forces training and became a Ranger. During his nine years of service, he eventually made Captain.
On a special assignment in Dreamdale, Charles was on a special team to break up an international drug ring. Second Lieutenant Dan Silva, a fellow Ranger, betrayed the team. Three hours before the planned assualt on the drug manufacturing building, Charles and his men were attacked. Out of a team of six men, only Charles and Dan survived.
Charles was badly injured and spent time in a secret government retreat to heal. While there,, he discovered about Dan's betrayal. Wanting revenge on the attack, Charles pleaded to go after Dan and the drug ring. He was given the go ahead on several conditions. Amongst the conditions was that he would assemble a small group of commandos and fight any criminal activities that the government seemed fit.
After killing Dan and breaking up the drug ring, Charles handpicked his team. With the team's base on U.N. Island near Dreamdale, they can operate anywhere in the world. The team decided to call themselves the Bluebirds in honor of Captain Blue.
