Love Is Like A Box

Love is like a box
It opens on many sides
Like a necklace with a diamond ring on the chain
The diamond astoundingly lovely.
Take the ribbon
And toss it to the floor.
Tear off the wrapping
Making it shimmer
Open it from the top,
To reveal the fuzz and warmth it gives
The feeling from inside of your chest.

Open it from the left
To show streamers of red
Seeing it explode in front of your eyes,
That's the feeling shown from when your first kiss happens.

Open it from the bottom to see glitters of blue
The glitter from my eyes sitting there
Staring back into your own.

Open it from the right
To show a picture of you and me
Holding each other in our arms
Laying in bed
Asleep peacefully together in our love

Close all the sides once more to make it a box yet again.
This box is a special thing
A thing of love I give to you
My love I have given to you
For now and always I shall love and cherish our moments together.
