Where Am I Going To?

My magnum opus, my coup de gras, my master work, my Mona Lisa...."Where Am I Going To?" is a lot of things for me. I never expected to be half so popular as it is now. It has taken me three years of hard work and practice, but my skill at writing has finally gotten to the point where I'm getting the recognition I used to only be able to dream about.

"Where Am I Going To?" was originally concieved after having read a fic about Vader finding Luke as a child. However, it said nothing about Vader's raising of Luke, nor what happened to the Rebellion with a distinct lack of Skywalker. Originally, this was going to end where the prologue did, with Vader privately confessing his devotion to his son that could never be expressed. However, plot bunnies never leave me alone, and a very rough version of what I have now was estabished. It was never meant to be as complex and consuming as it has become as I have added more and more, plot twists becoming more and more frequent, until not only has Luke become like a heroin addict in withdrawl, but one with severe mental trauma. I am, I guess, in a way, glad it has expanded so much. It gives the story so much more depth and character, and it really is now a first class piece of material.

"Where Am I Going To?" is the story of Luke Skywalker, who, after Obi-Wan fails to get him to Tatooine as a baby, is raised by his father, Darth Vader. He grows up to be Imperial Prince and Dark Lord of the Sith, but there's a hitch in his lofty plans once Rebels get a hold of plans for the Death Star. After catching Leia Organa, things only get more complicated when he falls head over heels in love with her - to her absolute disgust. There aren't any wedding bells yet, as Vader sends Luke off to Tatooine to retrieve the stolen plans. But when Luke gets attacked, he is saved by none other than Obi-Wan Kenobi, the very Jedi he has sworn to kill. After a wave of emotion he doesn't understand is pressed onto him by the Force, Luke ends up jumping ship and becoming a Jedi. However, his troubles are far from over, what with vengeful Emperor's Hands, his terrible nightmares, and severe mental trauma. Through all of this Luke finds himself in a journey to find out who he is, where he belongs, and where he is going to.

(Also, check out Where You Were Going To to read more about Luke's childhood. None of the stories, however, are so far necissary to read to understand the main story as it is so far.)
