Tears
Salt tears trickle down
a young lovers face
into an open mouth full
of shock and dismay.
The rain falls around her
but to her it goes unnoticed
her eyes and heart and ears
on the one she so loved.
The one that stole her heart
but then spit it back
so that in the end
salt tears would trickle
down the young lovers face.
