| In English folklore, Jack-frost appears as an elfish figure who is respondable for leaving frosty crystal-like patterns on windows on cold early mornings. He is associated with the cold and ice and frost, and govens over the winter months, a variant of Father Winter (also known as "Old Man Winter"). He is also involved in the old English version of the Wild Hunt, were along with the goddess Fraw Holt or Dam Holda who sooths the end of the Wild Hunt by covering the land with Snow from the feathers of the goose she rides, Jack Frost does also take on this role with with ice and frost he covers everywhere thus putting everything to rest.
