Steve and James then go to a coffee shop that Thurayya is at, where James convinces her to go with them as well. James then gets a vison of his charge Talia being wisked away in a ambulance and the three go off to the hospital to find Talia. Once the three get to the hospital they see Severis talking with the doctors, he tells the doctors to make sure his neice is well taken care of then leaves. The Three then find out where Talia is being kept and they get into her room finding her hevilly sedated. Steve grabs her and James transports them out to Steve's Hummer 2.
All four of them leave the hospital to Steves condo in the University district, though they realise they are being followed, and a chase ensues. Steve eventually loses the tail and then heads to his condo. Once there James uses his abilities to detox Talia thereby waking him up, though James is very drained by now after using his abilities. They get to talk a bit and find out Malice was responsible for doing the dirtywork in getting Talia, though for what end Talia does not know. With that all said there is a knock at the door, and Steve makes his way to the door wile grabbing a sword off his wall.
Looking through the peep hole he see's 5 thugs outside the door, Talia tells the rest they are vampires. Steve opens the door and attacks the one up front with his sword as a combat ensues. The group dusts the vampires at the door and Thurayya looks out the window seeing six other thugs outside five of which are running inside. Steve grabs some of his bunggy cord for bunggy jumping and fixes it to something jumping out the window and nabbing the vampire left downstairs. Wile James, and Thurayya takes out the other five.
The four interrogate the last vampire finding out that Talia is key to returning Severis to a Hell dimention to which he does not wish to go. upon this revelation the vampire burns from te inside out to the shock of the four.
