Unsatisfied
By Guinevere
Ambition is a teenager. For we are the keepers of dreams
That only we will know, until these dreams become reality.
We are unsatisfied with our world.
We want it to be faster, bigger, and greater
Than it has ever been.
We strive to reach the goals that others have set before us;
Try to pave the way for those yet unknown, not yet thought of.
Far ahead, in the distance we see all that we want to be.
We are aware of all the pressures that have been placed upon us,
Mostly by ourselves.
Life will be harder for us then it was for those before.
For we don't really know what it is we're striving for.
We are pushing ourselves to the limits
Only to try harder.
To be that perfect somebody
Whom we have all seen on our TV.
We hate money, and love it, all in the same breath.
We concentrate on pleasing everyone else.
We try hard to find happiness,
Yet know it can't be found here, not in this place.
We are told we are the future; we are told its up to us.
But we know we are the world that has yet to come.
