Stormwatch Team

Battalion

Battalion, the son of a WarGuard member and thus a probable  seedling,  was  one  of the first  recruits into the United Nation's StormWatch program. Displaying  strong psionic powers upon  activation, an athletic physique, and a cool head under  pressure,  Battalion  became  an  early  candidate  for StormWatch team leadership. When his StormWatch Prime team-mate and fellow leadership candidate, Flashpoint, proved to be too ill tempered  for  the position, Battalion was given the job.

Weather Man 1

Career bureaucrat Henry Bendix was headed  for a solid  career  in  the  National Security Agency when he was tapped  for  the  Sky Watch  position.  As  StormWatch  Control Officer, he lives and works on Sky Watch. Under his command are hundreds of geo-analysts, each  responsible for monitoring his
or her own micro-sector of Earth and reporting those findings, via cyber- communication  technology,  to  Weatherman  One.   Bendix  processes  the information received and  decides  whether  or  not a  situation warrants sending a StormWatch team.

Diva

Alessandra's  mother,  Maria  Fermi,  a brilliant opera singer,  dreamed  of  Alessandra  one  day  following  in  her footsteps as  a great  diva. Alessandra,  on  the  other hand, lived for music and wanted nothing more than to spend her life immersed  in  it -- dreams  of fame  did  not interest her. It seemed  as  if  both  mother  and daughter's dreams would be granted when Alessandra began taking  voice  lessons at age fourteen with the greatest instructor  in  Italy.  Things  did  not  go  quite as  planned, however. Alessandra's first  lesson  ended  with  with the emergence of her latent sonic powers,  which  destroyed  all the windows in studio along with her instructors glasses  and  eyesight. The  occurrence  effectively ended her hopes of a musical career, but it attracted interest from Sky Watch.

Winter

Nikolas  Kamarov  grew  up  in  the  frigid wastes of Siberia, the son of a purged Soviet test pilot and a mother of aristocratic background. As a  young man, he saw gymnastics as a way out, a means  by  which  he  could overcome his families shame  and  experience  warmer  climes.  He worked and worked,
finally  achieving  his  goal - a  position  with  the  Soviet Olympic team. When Nikolas was wounded in Kabul, Afghanistan during  the ill fated  Soviet  occupation. Anomalies  in  his  medical  charts  were
noticed and forwarded to Sky Watch. When the Soviet Union started to come apart at the seams, Sky Watch, monitoring the  situation,  decided it was time to go in and activate him.

Fuji

Fuji  was  nicknamed  after the famous mountain  by his school mates when a pubescent growth spurt caused him to tower above his friends and  teachers. Trying  to put his superhuman size to it's best use, Fuji  spent some  time as a teenager on the Sumo wrestling circuit. When  Fuji  was  activated  by StormWatch, his
body, already generally unstable, de-stabilize completely. Quick thinking and a dedicated scientific staff  were able to save his life, but only at the expense of living out the rest of  his days  within the confines of a special uniform.

Hellstrike

Hellstrike  shares  a  past with  Deathtrap,  but the full  details  of  both  men's  origins  have  yet  to  be
revealed. In any case, Hellstrike has  a strong hatred for the leader of the MERC's, one which  overwhelms  even his sense of duty to StormWatch.

Cannon

Arrogant,  cocksure  and  hot tempered, Cannon is the team leader  of  StormWatch Two, and would like nothing better than to  someday  take  over  Battalion's  job  as  leader  of StormWatch  One. Cannon  has  displayed  an  otherwise  unseen softer  side  in his  dealings  with  fellow StormWatch member Diva.

Fahrenheit

Lauren's  latent  powers  were  revealed when she found her self trapped in a burning building as a young woman. The building was  ravaged  by the  fire,  reduced  to ash  and cinders, but  when  fire-fighters  combed through the wreckage, they found  Lauren  unconscious but  other wise  unhurt.  Hearing of her miraculous survival, Synergy tracked her down and activated her powers.

Flashpoint

Foster  McClane   was  born  in   South   Central Australia, a  hard  country  that  bred  hard  men. He grew up strong, arrogant, racist and sexist in a society that not only accepted such attitudes, but prized them. Being recruited into StormWatch meant having  to  work  with men and women from all over the world on a more or less equal level, which required some attitude adjustments that were hard  for  Foster  to make. As Flashpoint, he was in the running for leadership of StormWatch Prime, but his hot-headedness got in the way of his ambition and the position fell to the cooler Battalion.

Nautika

Nautika  was one of the original StormWatch members, trained by Backlash to make full  use of  her aquatic/electric powers. She  served  as a moderating element in the early days of the  team,  keeping  peace  between  rivals  Battalion  and Flashpoint. When  Sunburst  joined  the  team,  Nautika and he gravitated towards one another, eventually getting married shortly before StormWatch Prime's  disastrous  mission  to  Kuwait  during  the close of Desert Storm.

Sunburst

Sunburst was the final member of StormWatch  Prime, the  first  active  StormWatch  team.  He  joined  established members  Nautika,  Flashpoint  and  Battalion  when   SkyWatch command decided the team needed an additional member to dilute the enmity  between  Flashpoint  and Battalion. Psych profiles indicate that Sunburst  has one  of the strongest wills of any StormWatch members. It is believed that his willpower in some  way fuels his solar powers.

Backlash

A former  member of  the U.S.  government's  ultra secret Team 7 commandoes, Backlash  was transferred  into the U.N.'s StormWatch  program  at it's founding. The reasons for the transfer remain  classified and are  believed to be known only  by  Backlash  and  the  highest ranking U.S. government intelligence officials. Certain other details of his past are unknown to  anyone save  Backlash  himself, despite  extensive  security checks by various  intelligence  agencies. After  a  disastrous  mission battling  the MERC's  in  Kuwait,  Backlash stepped  down  as  an active StormWatch member, choosing instead  to act as drillmaster  for all  new StormWatch recruits.

Synergy

Christine Trelane's psionic talents  prepared her perfectly  for a position with Sky Watch. She took a leading role in the formation of the StormWatch teams  and agitated on behalf  of  the  seedling program, finding  and bringing along  people  with  latent  powers  of  which   even  they themselves were often  unaware.  When she felt it was time, she was able to  activate these powers, creating new members of StormWatch teams. Synergy's position with Sky Watch is  primarily  administrative, but she can and does, see combat from time to time.
