Mannik looked around the hallway, searching for the objects he was looking for... a blue ball, made apparently of iron... he hoped that the artefact would indeed destroy Elven invaders...
He did not pause to reflect, but was slightly distracted by the thoughts running through his head. The Elves had been constructing GateWay portals on Junas for the last five years, more or less. From there they had been pouring through, capturing slaves and pillaging as they saw fit. Stories of a Brighter Dawn: The story archive...Shades of a Brighter Dawn is a Play-By-E-Mail (PBEM) game set in a sci-fi/fantasy world. The purpose of this game is to tell a personalised story, based around the character you have created.
The worlds are set in a consistant background, and the Main Characters (or Player Characters, "PC"s) have the ability to cross-over their storylines, in a way similar to many modern series.
The stories are tailored to each individual person- done by interacting with the fictional world around the character, which is in turn described by the Moderator (or Games Master; "GM"). The GM's job is to provide an unbiased viewpoint for the game, which is tailored to your specifications by whatever requests you have made. This is explained more in the rules section
A PBEM game is played by relaying what your character is doing to the GM via email, which is replied to by the GM with information on what the character is experiencing. The story, a fictional work, may be left posted on this site in the "Stories of a Brighter Dawn" section. Whether or not this happens should be discussed between the Players and the GM beforehand.
