Singer/song-writer, Hattie Best has been persoanl manager to The Shades since 1999. A veteran artist in her own right, Hattie brings to the table a mind for business as well as an intimate artistic connection.
Often mistaken for Tonia's sister (the eyes!), the blend of manager, colleague and friend has created a formula for success. "We work together so well because we agree to disagree", states Hattie. She goes on to say "Though we have our differences, we all realize that it's not about me, it's not about them, but it's all about Jesus and spreading the ministry so that souls may be delivered. As long as that remains our focus, we can usually work through any situation that the enemy tries to place in our path".
Hattie is a graduate of Howard University's School of Business and Administration. She currently lives in Atlanta and works as a Sr. Consultant in the IT industry. She also owns and operates Nu-Lite Christian Entertainment, a endeavor that includes artist management and promotions, as well as a creative arm though which she can market her own material.
Hattie is married to husband, Murray, with whom she has 3 sons, Murray Jr., Ryan and Aaron.
