1. We meet every Monday night. The meetings starts promptly at 7pm and end about 8:15pm. 2. The handouts and other important information is given out at the end of the meetings. It is important not to leave before the meeting is dismissed or you will miss something important. 3. The scout is responsible for getting all information home to his parents. If your scout has a problem doing this then you need to stay. 4. On the first Monday of the month all scouts should wear their class A uniform. All other meetings, if the scout doesn't wear his Class A uniform, he needs to wear a troop t-shirt or boy scout t-shirt. We want the boys in uniform every meeting. 5. If you bring other children to the meeting, they need to play outside or be seated during the meeting. Only scouts participate in the program. 6. If your son is in the clean up patrol he will need to stay for about ten minutes and help clean up after the meeting. 7. We take final counts for camp outs on the Monday night before we leave. If your son raises his hand to go on the camp out but changes his mind or something comes up, he has to call his patrol leader and Larry Fusaro by Wednesday night. If he doesn't show or call he is still required to pay his fellow patrol member for the food that was purchased. All money is due when we meet at the lodge to leave. Please bring cash. 8. All scouts need to purchase food for the campouts on a rotation basis. 9. When we come back from a camping trip, you will have an approximate time for our arrival. Please be there to pick your son up. If we are going to be real late, we will call you. 10. When we return from a camp out the first thing we do is unload personal gear then we unload the troop gear. All scouts need to stay and unload the trailer and properly store the troop gear. 11. Your scout needs to learn to pack on his own for campouts. Larry usually gives a list with some things they need to make sure they have all of their needed items. After your son packs, you need to check his bag to make sure he has what he needs. We will give classes to the scouts and parents on what to pack. 12. We don't take electronic games on campouts. No extra food needs to be packed in his gear. We don't allow food in the tents. 13. New scouts don't need to bring personal tents. We have very good guide quality tents for them to use. 14. Please emphasize to your son the importance of taking care of the troop equipment. 15. Do not go out and buy a bunch of new equipment. We will make suggestions on what they really need. 16. All scouts need to camp with the troop as mucha as possible. Also attending meetings regularly will help his advancement. We do have a minimum of campouts and meeting requrements for a scout to attend summer camp. 17. We have one fundraiser a year for the troop. All scouts are expected to participate. If you don't want to sell you can made a donatioin to the troop fund. 18. The troop fund is what pays for tents, lanterns, stoves, cooking gear, state park fees, etc. |
