| Anyone who's bothered to read the section of this site that's all about me (you will of course be forgiven for not reading it, I'm not actually that interesting!) will know that I work in the music and entertainment industry and as such Nicki is a huge inspiration to me (see, its not just about the fact she looks gorgeous in leather!). Earlier this year I wrote to her, thanking her for being such as inspiration and sending her one of the flyers that I designed as part of my job (just to give her an idea of what I do - so, she knows more than you guys now!). In all honesty I never expected to hear anything back from her so therefore got something of a shock when an envelope with 19 Managements logo fell through my letter box! Inside was a lovely letter from Nicki, a transcript of which follows! Dear Donna-Marie, Thank you for your letter and the great flyer you designed - well done! You certainly sound very enthusiastic and I recommend you get some form of work experience, perhaps at a local radio station? I started out as a promotions assistant at MCA records when I was 21 and moved on from there. It is tough but don't give up and I wish you every success for the future. My mother was nearly as impressed as I was though and wants a framed copy in the kitchen - although she'll have to wrestle it off me first - i've not let it out of my sight since I got it! Basically it's lifted my opinion of Nicki even further through the roof than it was already, and convinced me to stick with my job into the bargin - I don't think a letter has ever been so appreciated!!!!
