The Washrack Experience

Several people have asked me to post the full size pictures of the washracks. So, the pictures posted here are thumbnails and if you want to see the full size version just click on the picture and use your browser's back button to get back here. Note, the pictures aren't actually the whole size since the full picture is actually 2304x1728...much to big for the internet. I've resized them all to 800x600.

The washracks. Notice that it's night. For some odd reason, the washracks were open more at night than during the day. Of course, our luck was that they only do this on the day that we were washing, because they're open 'round the clock now.
In the last picture there were a lot of HMMWV's, and in this one we see our HEMTT wrecker. Most of the 5-tons were finished at this stage. By this stage, I mean the stage at which I brought out my camera.
Angel sneaks up on some mud, stored from long ago. Who washes down there, anyway? Angel does! Good thing, too, because the inspectors not only give the vehicle a glance, they also run their fingers along the areas you can't see.
Cooper cleans the wrecker. [Lawdy-dawdy] everybody is required to wear a helmet while on the washracks. It can be a bother, but when you're down under a vehicle, sometimes you'll be glad that you're wearing your kevlar.
Oh is to HMMWV's what Mr. Clean is to wooden floors. Here, he (Oh) is not only getting the dirt off with the pressure washer, but also enjoying it. Look at the size of that smile!
Nelson sprays down the engine of a HMMWV.
Francisco Gonzalez, despite being told that a picture was about to be taken, decided to act surprised...or constipated, I'm not sure which. That's a 5-ton he's washing, and he's not using the pressure washer. Each washrack station had two hoses: a pressure washer and a hose with a nozzle on it. Though the pressure washer had more pressure, it didn't fit everywhere; hence, the reason for not having a pressure washer on both hoses.
