What i miss from home: Family, Driving a car, "MEXICAN FOOD", Watch tv on a couch, friday night boxing, drinking cold "CORONAS" with Doritos and Tapatio, Friends, Dancing, giving my mom a migraine
The Iraqi Experience: I slept on concrete/middle of the road. Lack of good food, drink hot water (hot enough that you could boil an egg). Doing convoys to Balad, Iraq to Kuwait back and forth,to bring our equiptment. Driving through towns locked and loaded just in case they try to attack us. when we finally were able to have our equipment at camp anaconda, we faced other big challenges, like where were we going to sleep? We (maintenance) slept in one building then another. Mosquitos and sand flies were killing us, we and bites all over our bodies. the temperture was horrible (120-150 degrees), and to take a shower you had to wait in a long ass line, same for chow.
My goal: Is to come back to Iraq as an Infantry Soldier, do the dirty work that some people don't like to do. I'm going to do 20yrs. In that time i'm planning to "Be All You Can Be," a Ranger. Serve my Country to make the life of others better and have the freedom they have now, also i'm going to make uncle Sam pay for my college. I want to major in buisness.
