| As I gathered these pictures my mind wondered back to when some of them were taken. So many memories, so many yet to make! |
| Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday I was playing hide and seek with my friends and tonight I attended the Commencement Exercise of my youngest son! I am grandpa even! The funny part is my mind in many ways dont know I grew older! It still thinks young thoughts...lol. Growing old is a strange thing and at times a scarey thing. I have met so many good people. Honest decent people. At the same time I have hurt so many people. With all the bad I have done, the good Lord still loves me..isn't that a great and wonderful thing! |

| I went into the Army on Aug. 26, 1966. Did my basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. Recieved orders to report to Fort Polk, La for AIT training at Tiger land and then go to Viet Nam. My orders was changed and I wound up in supply at a basic training unit. While there I would help out the drill sgt with the men. I went to drill corporal school, which was really drill sgt school but I only recieved two stripes when I completed it in eight weeks. I trained with other sgts. A few months later I went through the same training but recieved my sgt stripes. I truely enjoyed training men. I would teach all I could and became a good drill sgt I had planned to stay twenty years but met my first wife and got out after two years. I got out Aug. 28, 1968. I really enjoyed my time in the Army. |
