Abstract. This article is an attempt to give new meaning to well-known experimental studies, analysis of which may allow us to discover unconscious behavior that has far remained unnoticed by researchers. Those studies confirm many of the statements by Freud, but they also reveal new aspects of the unconscious psychic processes.

Abstract: The Socratic method is a method of education or instruction used in ancient times but having minimal application in contemporary educational systems. One of the possible reasons for this situation is the lack of satisfactory explanation of how this method influences personality development. This article develops a hypothesis, which explains the changes caused by Socratic method in the human psyche. It is contended that the Socratic method causes the appearance of the problem dominant, which becomes one of the leading factors in personality development essential to creativity.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate thought processes in situations involving career choices. When participants chose between two mutually excluding possibilities of action (thesis and antithesis) some of them resolved the conflict by selecting a third possibility (synthesis). Factor analysis revealed four ways for overcoming the conflict: full synthesis, synthesis with transference, cognitive repression, and behavioral repression. These were discussed with limitations stemming from alternative ways of interpreting the results.
5. Nonconcurrence of conscious and unconscious cognition in resolving internal contradiction. Journal of Russian and East European Psychology , Vol. 50, Issue 1, 2012, p. 68-84. 1
Abstract: This article focuses on a new method of examination the cognitive unconscious and ways of overcoming internal contradiction at conscious and unconscious levels of the human mind. Respondents to this survey were 210 Bulgarian students who evaluated seventeen items whit reference to they professional inclusions. They also made direct and indirect assessment of pairs of items whether they were contrary or similar. It was assumed that the direct assessment was done on a conscious level, and the indirect— on an unconscious level. Factor analysis of three variables—thesis, antithesis and synthesis—was conducted, which revealed nonconcurence of the direct and indirect assessment, which suggests the nonconcurence of conscious and unconscious content. In some cases, the contradiction is resolving on conscious and unconscious levels, which suggests concurrence, but on others it occurs only on the conscious or only on unconscious level, which indicates nonconcurence.
