A Dream Come True
Chapter One
8:02...Wait! 8:02!!! The Ed Sullivan Show has already started! I'd been so caught up in doing my homework, well, ok I was really staring at Paul on my Beatles poster above my bed but thats beside the point! I'm missing the Ed Sullivan Show! I jumped from my desk and flung the door open as I ran down the hall and jumped the last four steps and slid across the hardwood floor (Thank God for slippery socks) I punched a button on the TV hoping it was the right one and launched myself at the couch as I heard "...the Beatles" and saw them run on stage while I caught my breath. My mom walked into the living room while my eyes were glued to the TV. "Sarah, What have I told you about-" "Mom! Shhh!" I managed to blurt out as I watched Paul walk up to the microphone. (God, he was so damn sexy!!!) "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you tomorrow I'll miss you remember I'll always be true..." My mom just rolled her eyes and left muttering something but I was too caught up in the show to hear nor did I really care, everyone thought I was weird I just got used to it because this Isn't 1964... This is 2002. And, yes, I love The Beatles. No one else I know seemed to but I don't mind...too much. I have their CD's, Posters, Books, and Ed Sullivan Re-runs... what more could u want? Actually, I wanted to Meet the Beatles (no pun intended). I wanted to see them...I wanted to see John and George before they... yeah. I wanted to see them in the sixties. I wanted to hear the deafening screams from the fans and watch them throw jelly beans on the stage. I wanted them to shake their heads and sing "She Loves You". I wanted their autographs... I wanted something! but mostly I wanted to be living in the sixties. Whose Idea was it anyway to have me living in this generation? I dont know but it wasn't mine. " ...I want to hold you hand" It was over ,already. I pulled myself off the couch and turned off the TV. Now I had to go finish my math homework... FUN! I trudged back up the stairs to my awaiting Trigonometry book. My Homework was a lost cause; I just couldnt concentrate so I got up to pack for my trip to Minnesota the following day (Friday) after school. I turned on the CD player and put Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band on. Singing along with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds I started putting enough shirts, pants, and Beatle essentials for three weeks in my suitcase. After I was finished I turned off the CD player and started in on my homework again, I mean I needed to keep my grades up if I want to be a Veterinarian and I do. This is the last year of High school. Then off to College. I snuggled up in bed against the cold air around my protecting comforter and thought about the Beatles for the Millionth time before drifting off. The next morning I woke up to my alarm and jumped out of bed (alright so Im a morning person). After gathering my books and book bag I went downstairs and put some bread in the toaster. After gulping some orange juice and downing my toast I jumped into my car and flew to school(not litterally mind you). After School(horray! three week holiday!) I went home to my parents and we went to the airport. As I walked through the terminal after checking my bags in, a blinding white flash hit my eyes as my arms flew instinctively to my face. A Felt what seemed like wind through the terminal and suddenly it stopped. I took my arms away and looked around me. I looked to my feet and saw my bags. I looked around me to see I was in a hotel room.
