This car was released with McDonald's Happy Meals during a promotion of The Muppets Figures in 1996.
I believe it originally came with my favourite Muppet Animal as the Driver. However they look exactly like the Smurf Cars except there is no Steering Wheel or Tow Bar and they have different Wheels as well as yellow paint on the Radiator & Head Lights. Other than that they are exactly the same in size and design and fit perfectly with the Car Driving Smurf. Not bad for all of those useless spare Car Driving Smurfs you have lying around the place.
