The Facts about MiniModels Smurfs

* Despite these being labelled MiniModels Smurfs, they are infact about the same size as regular PVC Smurfs. MiniModels is just the name of the company that produced these figures.

* MiniModels (the company) had the potential to produce smurfs with permission from Schleich and IMPS. However the quality submitted was not deemed worthy enough for MiniModels to be given a licence to produce smurfs on a regular basis.

* MiniModels Smurfs are made of a harder plastic than the regular PVC Smurfs.

* The paint work is usually not up to the same standard as regular Smurfs which has meant that some have been regarded as fakes by collectors, especially the ones without any markings.

* A very common trait of these MiniModels Smurfs is that the Tail is only painted blue around the tip like the pic above. Of course not all figures have the tail showing so this cannot always be a reliable clue to distinguish a MiniModels Smurf from other Smurfs.

However not all MiniModels Smurfs have markiings like this. It is quite common to see many of these Smurfs without any markings whatsoever which can make it difficult to distinguish the Minimodels Smurf from a Fake Smurf.
