I went to Dads Mixed Ball this year. Which, i must admitt was a lot better than I thought it was. Had a great dance with the boys! Had one of the bandies "Gilly", walked up to me, handed me a glass of wine, smiled, and walked away; that's not much to you guys, but for some reason, that means the world to me. I cant explain why, it just does! Caught up with Paul, old family friend, i remember Paul, as this lil' kid, running around playing tips with me or paying me out, but when I saw him on that night, I sure realised that he had grown up! Spent a lot of time with him... he wouldnt even let the other guys cut in for a dance at most stages!! When he was leaving, one of the few things he said was "Stacey, you've grown up!" Had the last dance with Christian, one of 233 RCU's ex cadets! Not bad at all!! All in all, a FANTASTIC night!
Next up was Davids Year 12 Formal; St. Marys Collage! Pretty good night all in all!!! Went to the after party - which wasnt that bad! David, looked fantastic, blue shirt, and tie, with a black suit! It was strange, for once I just couldnt picture him as the same guy that I met in Kindy. Guess it really hit me, that he had grown up! All the guys looked pretty good that night! Anthony's tie, well what can I say, it matched my dress perfectly! What luck 'ey!!! Andrew looked pretty stylish, with his open colar look going for him! Then there was Luke, with his red bow-tie! A very stylish bunch!!! I had a great night, thanks guys!!!
Then there was my Formal! I had an amazing night! Had David, Andrew and Brad there... yes I did the normal deal, and did the setting up of dates! Not much has changed!! Brad looked completely amazing.... as soon as I saw him, I was lost for words. It was a great night.. Andrew still doesnt know how to dance, Dave had the moves!!! And Brad wasnt too bad either!! Sarah looked gorgeous... and you better believe me girl... because you did!
Skoolies - Well, I went away this year. Went down to join Brad, and his group on skoolies for a few days. It was an alright few days, could of been a bit better, but thats another story altogether. Through some rough calculations, I got to spend about 70hrs with Brad! Not too bad!!!
Cadets again - Well my time in cadets has run out this year. Its been a long six years in the unit. I've had my cadets ask me to stay... sorry they have nagged me to stay, but its time to move over and lets others move up the chain, and for me to move on. Overall its been filled with adventure, and I wouldnt be who I am today if I didnt join cadets. I've made the best friends through cadets... and I wouldnt give up their friendship for the world... I have had so many wonderful experiences, that I will never forget. Just like to say thanks to all those that have made my last 6 years so enjoyable. To all those that helped me through, guided me, and pointed me in the right direction when I needed it! Thanks heaps guys! Always remember to aim high! Love ya all!!
As you can tell, through reading this strange "yearly report" that its been a tough year. But its over. With next year holding obsticles just as large as this years... but all they can do is make us stronger. Thanks heaps everyone for sticking by me this year, for helping me over come all the difficulties that I have had to approach! All in all, its been a good year, good by the fact that I have learnt alot, matured, faced fears, made fantastic new friends, realised who my true friends were, and I cant leave you out Brad... found someone very special to me... who I love more than life itself!
So once again, thanks everyone for all your help this year!!
