My Experience
I had in touched with this hobby since 1982. As a novice model flying member, I managed to known a friend who staying 69 kilometer from my home in an estate situated at the Southern Region of Kelantan. At that time, this friend of mine is working as estate manager. The rig he was using was Motorola (sorry, I had forgot the model).
Since then, I tried to obtain an operating certificate but failed to be approved by relevant departments. Till March 2003, I manged to attend a 30 hours Radio Amateur Course and  sat for the RAE Examination on the 7th August, 2003. Finally, I received my Callsign on 17th November 2003.

I am a member of the Malaysian Amateur Radio Transmitters' Society and planned to registered with Radio Amateur Society of Thailand as well as The Amateur Radio Club Of The East Coast Of  Peninsular Malaysia.

I had set up my home base with Diamond F23A  antennae (2 meters)  with RG8 coaxial cable and a 14 meters of "telescopic" metal Poles. My main rig is ICOM IC-V8000 for Mobile and ICOM IC-T90A for Portable.
