Local Scholarship Award for College Students
Tyesha Anderson Scholarship Fund
The Tyesha Anderson Scholarship is awarded to a mathematics &/ or education major in Honor of one of our sorors who passed away in car accident in 1998. Soror Anderson, an education major with minor in mathematics, was a bright young woman and shining example of what a Sigma Beacon of Light can be.
This scholarship is awarded to any rising sophomore or junior attending college or university in the state of Alabama who meets the qualifications. This scholarship is only available through the Chi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Chi Sigma is in the process of establishing an education fund which will award several scholarships:
- to college students in the state of Birmingham,
-to young women graduating high school as members of the Rhoer Club and admitted to a college or university in the state of Alabama
-to older women returning to school to complete a degree or change careers.
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 and are in high school or if you have daughter between the ages of 13 and 18 and would like more information about the Rhoer Club, please click on the link to the Rhoer Club at the bottom of this page.
If you are interested in making a tax-deductible contribution to our education fund, please contact any of the Chi Sigma chapter officers and they will happy to assist you and accept your contribution on behalf of Chi Sigma.

National Scholarship Awards for College Students
Alice L. Simmons Business Scholarship
(FOR UNDERGADUATE SORORS ONLY)
  
This scholarship is awarded yearly to one of our undergraduate sosros who is a business major and has made significant contributions within her commnity to uplify her community. In addition to these stipulations, she must also meet certain scholastic criterias. This scholarship is awarded based on Personal Merit and character.

Beulah Audrey Bradley Memorial Scholarship
(FOR UNDERGRADUATE SORORS ONLY)
This scholarship was first awarded this year in memory of Mrs. Beulah A. Bradley for her contributions to her community. Applicants for this scholarship must not only show academic aptitude but must also have made significant contirbutions to their community thereby contributing to making their community a better place to live.

Both of these shcolarships are administered through the Louella W. Norfleet Memorial Scholarship Fund which is a 501 (c) 3 entity.
