Q: Why only one Saya "U San Tint" was sponsored for Grand Union.
A: Firstly, San Francisco Grand reunion organizer decided to sponsor
for Saya from various majors.
Electrical department Saya was U Sein Win but Saya apology
to organizers was accepted and
U San Tint was invited.
But after long frustration , Singapore ex-RIT electrical
team tried to collect fund and tried to
persuade Saya U Sein Win to join Saya U San Tint. They
even offered to receive the Passport with
just sign the application form. Saya's reason was second
time unsuccessfully accepted by Singapore
Team. But Saya U Sein Win promised to Singapore team that
he will be coming to Singapore as an
company called "LIEBERT" sponsorship. Then he can see
the ex-RIT students. For US and oversea
ex-students, he hope Singapore Team can arrange the NetMeeting
(video conference) which can see
each other at computer screen.
Q: Why arrange on 26Oct2000 (Singapore official Deepavali Holiday).
Why not on other holidays such as Saturday & Sunday?
A: Arrangement is just coincidence. Chose the day when U San Tint and
U Sein Win both are together
in Singapore. Firstly, U San Ting transit is so short
(10 hours in Singapore) and U Sein Win plan
in Singapore is not matched with this day. Fortunately,
U San Tint can stay longer in Singapore
and U Sein Win stay in Malaysia (arranged by "LEIBERT")
was cancelled. Then mini-gathering was
scheduled on 26 Oct 2000. Ice on the cake happen
again. 26Oct2000 is Singapore official holiday
"Deepavali" and mini-gathering can expected more participants.

Q: Why gathering location is in Burmese Temple? Why NOT in a
good hotel which has better
facilities like Grand Reunion at San Francisco?
A: This is the first time gathering and we try to attract all ex-students.
Saya U San Tint has schedule at
Burmese Temple. This location is the best
for all of us. Good Hotel is expensive and unnecessary
finical burden will be occurred. Next future
such kind of arrangement might be at Good Hotel.
