The word polishing is often confused with buffing when speaking of aluminum parts. Polishing is the act of sanding off the rough cast in preperation for the buffing process. Buffing is the act of bringing the part to a mirror like finish. If you have a part that hasnt already been brought to a mirror like finish once apon a time, it will need to be polished (sanded) and buffed. If your part had a mirror like finish and is just dulled out, it will most likely only need to be re-buffed. Some cast marks or pits / scratches are to deep to be removed from the parts. This is common on parts such as cast aluminum water pumps and blowers. Send an email for a quote on your parts.
