Splooge is a rock band located in Chattanooga, TN. It was started around May or June of 2001. It's charter members Ronnie (bass/guitar), Jesse (guitar/screams), and Gibbs (guitar/vocals) wanted to create a sound similar to Nirvana (Jesse) or Blink 182 (Gibbs). Punk music in general were heavy influences on the members of what was then an unnamed band. After work related incidences caused the band to split up, Ronnie and Gibbs decided to get together and form a band with Shawn, who worked at the movie theater with them. They wanted Shawn to play drums with them, knowing that he had been playing percussive instruments for about six years. The name Splooge was then applied to them by their newly found drummer after hours of indecision. The title fit well with the inappropriate music that they played. Six months later, after dicking around like masterbating monkeys, they brought in Richard to fill the vacant lead guitar possition for a New Year's Show. Splooge now offers a wide variety of music as well as a kick ass stage show. Splooge rules, mother fuckers.
