I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU COULD EXPLAIN WHAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT

"Truly, Madly, Deeply" is actually a love song and it was written at a time in our lives when both Daniel and I were away from home for about 8 months, recording this album and I was recently married and I wrote it for the love of my life and, that's about it really, it's a pretty simple love song.

HAVE YOU BEEN ON A MOUNTAIN? [ do French journalists ask stupid questions or what? ]

Oh, several I guess, yeah. I don't know, at the time I hadn't. When I wrote this song I hadn't been on a mountain ever, but I've been on a couple now, so…thanks to music! (laugh)

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE PARIS FOR THE VIDEO OF THIS SONG?

We actually did a video for this song in America, and we spent a fortune on it, and we got it completely wrong, and it just didn't feel like the song. We felt that it was a pretty simple love song, so we went to the most romantic place in the world which is Paris. And we got a girl and a boy, and we shot a video, and that's what you see.

WHAT IS YOUR IMPRESSION OF YOUR FRENCH AUDIENCE?

You know, we've been here about 10 times this year, you may not be aware of that because, even if we're not working, I've spent time here. I was here last week for my birthday, we had 3 days off and I just spent time in Paris. um…I love this country. I think, from Australia, we're such a young nation that we're fascinated by your history, and your culture, and your food, so I love France, what can I say?
